John Patterson was an excellent governor. He cleaned up corruption in Alabama and was influential in ridding Alabama of organized crime. All you haters need to repent and get right with God for being so bigoted and full of hatred.
As an African America, I have great respect for Gov. John Patterson despite his views in the 1960s. Why? Because he changed and became a better man. I am willing to forgive my enemies if they are willing to forgive themselves!
I dont believe that all the people from that era with these kinds of point of views just died off..I don't believe that all these people's children, grandchildren, and great grand children whom were probably raised with this way of thinking are all gone. THEY ARE STILL WITH US TODAY! They are politicians, talk show hosts, police officers and people who we would never believe they are.
Think back if you will, How many white people were shacking and raising bastard kids before the race mixing? How many are doing it now? That should tell anybody with half sense something.
@redbonegal Actually Patterson is one of the few segregationist politicians from that era that is still alive. He was a relatively young man when elected governor at 37, the youngest governor in Alabama history.
can someone make subs for this 'cos i have no idea what he just said.
