I got nauseous tripping on em so i planted a few for kicks. They're going, but i don't wanna be cruel to the little fellas it's 19 Celsius and they're in a window with barely no light.. hope they do as well.
@RealmSeekr Yes I just started 5 seeds in a pot with a large branch to climb, only one has come through and is kind of stalled for now at 4 leaves. It's in my sunniest window but upstairs, since we don't normally use our central heating I'm wondering if he'll grow at all poor guy!
What a beautiful video! The flowers were nice also. My Dad, rest his soul, grew fantastic morning glories by tying strings to a utility pole about 12 feet up, sort of like a teepee. Morning glories make happy happier but don't cure sadness, for that is what I seek, and your advice on how to find this plant.
@patarnott Remember that the sadness you have is an expression of how much you love, a badge of honour. Cry, smile and plant these flowers for your dad, when you see them you will smile and remember. Ive been replanting these flowers from the seeds it produces so Im not sure what kind they are....possibly 'Otis'. Best wishes!
i just ordered some Heavenly blue morning glory seeds online, and i was wondering a few things: does it grow well inside, does it produce any seeds, how big is the pot you grow them in, and how many seeds did you put in the same pot ?
Over 2 weeks, I bought about 4 different varieties of morning glories. First I are supposed to be blue, 2 mixed packs, and one other color. Some of the Ipomea leaves/flowers are edible, I have to to see if I. purpurea leaves are edible. Could have lots of morning glory salads with just a few plants growing.
Sarcasm aside, good looking morning glory you have there. I just germinated my first seeds yesterday. You mainly do window/balcony gardening or do you grow outdoors as well?
@inedibleedible I guess you are talking about growing that type of morning glories for whatever drug use...? It is completely inadvisable and dangerous. I don't know if it has anything to do with fungus but it is supposed to cause SERIOUS digestive upset and potentially life threatening side effects. Please dont. I may seem like a crazy tree hugging hippy but anything but I've never tried any drugs, life is too precious and fragile.

@NadimahElizabeth I don't disagree. I'm just asking because I know that the digestive issues are bypassable(that a word? :P) and have been Exploring these things for years. I threw mine away, though, because I'm going to stop doing hallucinogens soon.
Very lovely plant and almost matching bonnet.

Thanks for the video. I've been looking around about indoor morning glories, and haven't found much - until now.
Your plant looks great! I like that it looks like a little tree.

@darklight203 A little of both, the wind up here is brutal and tends to rip my plants up by the roots.
