This is the best band ever!!!!! It's a shame there is not m,ore footage from this era. I remember so many great shows I went too. New Years Eve 88-89 at Embassy Hotel. I went to 3 of the shows at the John Anson Ford week. They should have had someone videoing those shows professionally. I've only seen a few boots from that era.

Sure is! He and Perkins were a couplea teenage metalheads when they joined the band. Dave's first shows, he was too young to even get in the clubs, so he'd have to wait out back before and after the set.

I don't know if it is that Jane's was ahead of their time. The fact is they are timeless. they would have fit in and been one of the best bands of the sixties, seventies, eighties, nineties or even today.

I mean they may not have been as big a band as Nirvana but they were one of the most influential bands of their time (the eighties). So i don't consider them ahead of their time. they were perfect for their time.

Even more than Tiff and Deb, look what those other bands like Motley Crue and Poison were doing. Janes could have easily been another "hair" band from LA. But instead they made intelligent music that is timeless in a time that could have otherwise been easily forgotten.
