  • I recently bought this thing too but I don't know how to use it. Do you have to connect in ear phones to the other input of the interface or could I just connect my guitar and thats it. I mean its connected to my computer but I can't hear shit.

  • haha thats shit :D

  • well its been 2 weeks and i love it...i use it with fruity loops and the slayer 2 plugin.

  • thanks for the video im going to go get this right now.

  • hmm weird, I almost got the same horrid tone when I played my guitar through the microwave.

  • @TheDaftWorld dude for fuck's sake how many times do I have to tell people this is a test?!

  • bad sound tho

  • What Fuck ?

  • Was it your inmrovisation?? ))

    nice Industrial,especially at the beginning)))

How many types of sound does Guitar Link have? this is not expensive though it's meant to be bad,i guess.. isn't it?

  • @Beloguroff21ukr I used the Garageband amps - though the device itself has only one type of output, besides anything you change on the guitar, like pickups

  • awesome performance ^_^. I have this interface but I can only hear the left ear of the headphone, how to fix it :( ? HELP

  • @locngo if it only happened once then maybe they perhaps you didn't plug them in correctly. it it happens more than once then your headphones are probably broken.

  • @locngo Because guitar is only MONO!!

  • @pedroo23 I got it coming out of both ears already, the guitar output is mono true, but thats not the cause

  • piece of art...

  • so your that kid that has all the goodies he wants because his dad has an awesome paying job?

  • @youknowthatoneguy123 no - i don't know who you're talking about, but that's his office

  • @youknowthatoneguy123

Hey, lay off the kid. He is demo-ing a 30 dollar piece of equipment!

    @iolo26

    I liked your music

  • u need to use better distortion ;)

  • I have a Digitech RP 355 that came with software for recording... but hate the software and I want to start using Garageband.. I've looked at this USB Device but really don't know exactly what I want... it's not too expensive but is it worth buying? does it have much latency etc?

  • @Melishunt no noticeable latency unless you apply lots of effects like pitch, eq, different amps together - all at the same time.

  • dude get amplitube 3 its an amp modeling software the ones on garageband suck. you can use it as a stand alone or open it in garageband, IT ROCKS

  • does it have any latency problems??

  • @HaiderZia41 very slightly, though it depends on the number of effects you are applying. On the whole none but if you add just some EQ and and pitch it can get quite bad. that is only in garageband, though

  • @iolo26 and wt abt guitar rig 3/4??

  • @duffyasym man i had the same problem with realtek HD audio card..it was in acer laptop...ASIO also wont work on it..but many problems were solved in it when i changed its settings from 5.1 surround to 2 channel output....ASIO still doesnt work :(

  • @duffyasym I really don't know. My card was fine when I recorded this, so maybe you should by another card? Also when does it crackle?

  • It is compatible with Mac OS X?

And you can simply connect to the USB port.

    That easy?

And which program you use to make the video?

  • @jordiicala i made a tutorial video: watch?v=xrT6EyNwDCQ

    i used final cut express

  • Please stop hurting your guitar... PLEAAAAAASE

  • Can this be used with a Bass guitar?

  • @Drpepper99uk yeah anything with a 1/4 inch output

  • I like this !!! Coool!!!

  • God damn, sounds bad...

  • @deidi1111 there is more than one amp available in garageband

  • @iolo26

yea, you're right, sound of guitar is good, but sound of this own made song is not that good, you think?

  • I already asked on other videos, does this thing need good sound card and DOES it delays?

  • @runingwolflexan Thats just a standard imac from a year or two ago. The device converts the guitar signal into usb which garageband detects automatically, which i just recorded through, also using standard presets, and the one i customised which I explained in the description - I'm not sure how good the standard sound card is, but it's made by apple which probably means it's very good.

  • @runingwolflexan Ok thanks, i suppose this has nothing to do with sound card.

  • @runingwolflexan i doubt it

  • Hi, I already installed the latest ASIO driver for the usb interface, and followed each of the installation instructions on the manual. But it doesn't make any sound, all I hear (on both AC Box Combo and Reaper) is some popping scratches. Do you have any idea of why this could be happening? Thanks.

  • @mechamodiego sorry, no

I used garageband for this which I made a tutorial for on my channel

  • @iolo26 And I can tell this, that you have very good guitar, its gibson, amazing ; ] but try to do some better music, this one is sick, of course this is only my opinion, stay tuned ; ]

  • @deidi1111 look mate, thanks for the compliments and I don't want to sound like a douchebag, but this is a test - I did a better song here: /watch?v=e64r_2gUelI

  • @iolo26

So Sorry for laugting your test, I tought this is song you play with your band for real, btw. nice idea to make bass with low E string xD

  • @deidi1111 cheers :)

  • This is really good Iolo. Pls make another one with the guitar? (btw its Oliver)

  • That would be amazing! Respond to this comment when it's up.

  • So let me get this straight: You plugged your guitar into the Guitar Link, plugged in your headphones as well, then plugged the USB into your mac and opened garageband. Then you made a new song by clicking Electric Guitar then just recorded? I don't want to buy some random "Guitar Rig" if Garageband can work. I already have enough effects on my pedal. Please respond as I am quite desperate! :) Thank you.

  • @TruePlaid Yes, basically, but make sure you double click on the image of the amp or click on edit and where it says monitor change it from off to on. You will know that the thing is plugged in right because a window will open saying it has been detected and then it will work. Look I'll make you a quick tutorial so you can see.

  • Could you help me with a problem, dude?

I have the same same link, same programs and everything.

When I record, the program DETECTS the guitar, and shows the lines

    when I play.

But there's no ACTUAL sound. In fact, there's no actual INPUT settings either, which makes me think that mine is broken.

    Help?

  • @bibimcmacky okay - if this is your problem you must double click on the amp image, or press edit next to the preset selector, and then turn moniter to on. in amp edit mode you can also add effects (as you would editing a loop) and change the input source to what you want.

another way of changing the input source is to go to system preferences (on a mac) and going to sound, input and then select it there

  • Iolo, (its Cormac). You finally got iLife '10! Yeah cool playing
