My thought behind this was always why not a direct to DVD story? The DC hero stuff has done well, Marvel has put some out as well, why couldn't Transformers? The fans are there! Why this is being ignored is beyond me. There is potenial here for these stories to continue in a profitable manner. Just seems like a shame to me to not exploit this. Everyone would benefit!

this vid is a hypothetically possible sequel to the first animated movie that came out in 1986...but actually there was a sequel to the animated movie - optimus prime was revived, and it was a crappy story about a virus that was going around and infecting the autobots and turning em evil, and it infected hot rod, n since he had the matrix at the time, there was a final duel between him n optimus prime...trust me if u havnt seen it, u havnt missed out on nething, so dont bother

Hey, If other Hollywood blunders get a reboot, why not Transformers the Movie G1 Cartoon. Look at the cash the live action movies are bringing in. Also consider how well some of the reboots can be; ie. The Dark Knight. Star Trek did a time line alteration. Just my 2 cents.

generation 1 went down hill fast after the movie.

story writing got really bad, i think everyone at the time lost interest due to this.

decepticons were homeless, galvatron was crazy, everyone and their brother joined to form different things and color schemes got out of control.

At least the DW and the IDW comics ignore some of the continuity and make it fit in the books.
