i had to take the praxis exam (so you can get a teaching licensure--well never taught, but anyway) and i woke up 30 minutes before the exam, i was staying across town and i also had to go to my dorm room to get my stuff because we couldn't leave stuff over spring break! ahahahahahaha
my roommate used to sleep with her alarm clock under her pillow!
last spring i had a final on the last day of finals. was also the day mom and dad were helping us move out of the apartment to our new house. when we got to the new house I realized i had to be back up (45 mins away) for a final. unpacked the truck super fast. while trying to move a heavy desk i hit my big toe/nail and and it started bleeding pretty bad. did a quick band-aid job tho and made it back up in time for the final...an acting class but lucky i didn't need to move much.
Yeah, don't worry. I got to reschedule the final for a different day, I was the only one in the car--there wasn't a scratch on me--and it was really early in the morning so no other cars were involved. The only bad thing really was the loss of the car. ;)
She might have been exaggerating, but I guess when she called it in, they reported that a lot of her area was out. *shrug* I'm letting her off easy :-) (because I'm nice, haha).
Blah, I have two more 15-20 page papers to write then I'm done.
I do have one story. I completely messed up on the turn in date for a term paper in one of my classes when I was an undergrad. Thankfully, I had a very understanding professor and he let me turn it in a week late. But I was so upset during class. Daily planners, ftw!
Oh wow that alarm thing sucked. After almost missing work a couple of times due to alarm failure I began setting my actual alarm and one on my phone as well. That way even if the power goes off I can make sure that I'm awake. And whenever I don't set my phone, my actual alarm always fails. I'm not sure why, some cosmic force trying to teach me a lesson probably.
thankfully I have never missed an exam, but one time I did mess up on an assignment for my job over the summer and I think my boss was ready to kill me. whoops :/
you guys should make some Christmas themed videos! I know its crunch time for everybody, but I always feel that a little Christmas cheer this time of year helps ease the stress :)
psyc exams are cursed. i did that last year for my psyc exam in the winter, except my exam didn't start till 9 and i woke up at 9:16 and we had until 11 to do it...so it wasn't quite a disaster. but it is the worst feeling in the world. i feel your pain.
that brings back nightmares!

Most of Boston doesn't have internet??? I suppose that's possible, but I'm kind of dubious.

that's totally fair, and quite nice of you. It's just that I'm in boston, so i was somewhat surprised.

Also, I don't live in Boston... I live in Waltham. And it appears to be back, at least for now...

I haven't slept through an alarm yet, so I'm lucky. Over my two week break, I plan on doing homework and catching up on a million House episodes...

We do have a little Christmas cheer planned...but keep that on the down-low, because we haven't quite worked out the details yet ;-)

I wish I was done with college this early. The last day of the semester is tomorrow and I have exams all next week. :/

My last exam is on the 12th, and some exams go all the way until the 18th! Luckly I don't have anything until the 12th, and then I'm done :-)
Good luck!! (I know, it's a stressful time).
