I agree to both the observation. The chance node is usually round and decision node is square. secondly I think it is an oversight of the Prof. not to include cost of testing in evaluating nodes 7,8,9

Dear Sir,

I think you have made a mistake while calculating Expected Returns for conditional probabilities. The cost of Test Market Research of Rs 40000 has to be deducted from Rs 2000000 and Rs 300000 at nodes 7,8 and 9 before calculating Expected Returns for these nodes. Also, Rs 40000 (and not zero as you claim in your video) will be the expected loss if we decide to Test market but drop the project later at nodes 4, 5 and 6.
