  • i think its funny how 100 years ago these tattoos meant you were a hardened criminal....now people get them cuz it looks good with their Affliction shirts.

  • where is this tattoo place at?

  • @promiseLove1437 SunsQlit Tattoo in Shibuya, Tokyo.

Full detail on my full video.

  • How Much In Total Did Your Sleeve Cost?

  • @texasaggie777 my sleeve is 3/4 and i was quted at 1000

  • 0:19 omg look luke skywalker.. jk sick sleeve i love it!!!!!!

  • Plus the Girlfriend is really pretty too. Koi and dragons are classic and beyond/above being trendy. Like blue jeans or Ford Mustangs are to American culture. Popular for a good reason. The tribal tattoos are still valid if done well. It's too bad greedy people put tattoo art all over everything. People will get burned out on it soon and only the true devotees will stick with it while the masses move on to the next trend.

  • Bociferousmimi, well said!

  • Beautiful tattoo:) Especially like the koi! How much time/money did you put into that, The koi that is!

  • Kjeoy, that is a question I get a lot yet im still hesitant to do the math of what the total cost so far is :)

  • Beautiful work

  • i just got a half sleeve done check out my vid the detail in the dragons face is amazing not finished yet tho .. it still needs colour

  • that is one hell of a sleeve! nice stuff!

  • Just curious, but I've got something similar to your's, except our koi are much different looking.

When you were looking for a design for your dragon, did you just look around, or did the artist draw it up for you?

  • I communicated with the Artist via email leading up to my Japan visit. I made alterations to convert it from a Koi to a Dragon Koi fish.

  • hi mate, I added your vid to killersleeves dot com, hope you don't mind :)

  • All good, what is the direct link?

  • nice coil fish nice selection on the colour of the coil fish too

  • yean nice tat and i dont mind banging ur girlfriend, hahahaha

  • Dirt

  • How long did it take to do the whole forearm? and how much did it cost( just the forearm not the whole sleeve)?

  • That Koi is nice, love the finish touch to it with all the shading. I also like how it goes from the Koi Fish to Dragon symbolizes aspiration and advancement.

  • dude that is so awesome, I plan on getting a dragon/koi fish tattoo as well. I don't know if I'm bold enough to do a full arm tattoo though, but you made me think about it.LOL

  • nice tatty..

  • Rofl what a fag you're definitely not in an asian gang you're just some 10 year old poser white kid

  • i dare you to say that to ami james' face.

  • i like that u Turned the Japanese Dragon into a KOREAN Dragon!!!!! Extra Claw!!!

  • Not at all. Asian culture belives that:

    Dragon: Has three claws.

    Royal Dragon: Has four claws.

    Emperor Dragon: Has five claws.

Shit, I dont make the rules. But I did upgrade my Dragon when I got the chance :)

  • yea man thats a sick ass sleeve dude how many days did it take for the whole thing to be done

  • dang man! I like the concept, the fish and dragon in one sleeve! I was hoping to get one done like this too!

Did you choose the fish and dragon to symbolize (I forgot at the moment), or just cuz it looked awesome?

Which ever reason it was, great choice!

  • outlines 2004.scales 2006 ?????thats a long waiting time

  • I'm thinking about getting a koi on my calf, cause it represents something nice, but some people (on internet) say it's (very)cliche, what should I do? I don't think it is very cliche. Tribals, stars and that sort of stuff is way more cliche.

  • cause everything was original at one point and everything will become old. Everything could be cliche... Piercings, clothes...etc

  • I was gonna get a koi half sleeve done and I'm still considering it. It is a popular design but if you can appreciate it's origins, it's sentiment and if it can mean something important to you then I think it's cool, but it's popularity does put me off as I usually go for original tattoo designs these days (I've got an ocean/pirate-themed half sleeve outline done, working on colour now)

  • i have a koi in my sleeve on my bicep. its one of my favorite tattoos. just go for it!

  • avoid it like the plague.. it IS, if not MORE cliche and unoriginal than the stupid tribal pieces.

  • Some say cliche, I say timeless and classic. In the end, you get your tattoos for you and you alone, so don't pay to much mind what others think. Just be sure to go to a quality artist that excels in whatever style you desire.

  • awesome

when you do the other sleeve?

  • Im still in the process of completing this Sleeve unfortunately. I was only able to complete the shading up to my elbow.

  • nice tat, how much that end up costing in the end man?

  • cheers - cost approx $2,700 in the end.

$350 each day (2) for outline of Koi fish and for Background then $500 each day (3) for Shading of Koi fish and background.

Sat there for 5 hours per day, every second day while in Tokyo...

  • hmmm... hot video ;)

  • fucking awesome tat man

  • thanks mate :)
