@subfub In case you haven't found out by now (year old comment), as long as you keep boost to a relatively reasonable level (8-10PSI) stock internals will be fine. Once you start going higher than that, forging stuff would be a good idea.
NICE!!!.. question to every1? have you replaced or thinking of replacing the sport suspension with an upgrade, if yes, which ones???... is the stock sport suspension comparable to the aftermarket one's?
Its an awsome job. The only thing I wish is if the turbo had a louder wine or pitch. But thats what happens when your shop is in Cali. All those stupid rules like C.A.R.B. gas that only goes to 91 octane and the resonator thing I love everything about Cali but those things.
ey man nice focus looks good. i got one to but i got a 2007 ford focus CL. what mods should i get first for my engine cuz my body looks good. i have 17inch rims with sports Tyres, nice chrome exhaust tip (gives a nice sound), sports spoiler (its a sedan), dark tinted windows and ford decal, and the same colour as yours. should i start with things like filters and air intake systems. cheers man nice vid
Sweet! I have an 05' Focus ST. The SAP (Street Appearance Package). What kind of numbers did you make with the stg. 2 turbo? I'm looking into turbocharging my ST in the future.
@blakeds87 fswerks they got every thing from 2003-2012 focus turbos. kits and intercoolers anywhere from 2G for just the turbo to 4G for full kit with dvd im savin up!
if you never, ever hit the break, and hardley ever accelerate, keep the AC off, keep excess wait out and keep a speed around 50-60mph you can achieve those numbers. Grandma's cannot because they are always hitting the breaks, with the AC on full blast and swerving around deciding where to turn.
You are full of shit all you nay sayers, and I bid you good day
Ok one you were talking about the 2.3l engines. Secondly the 2.3s do not get 50mpg unless you drive 30mph down the highway all day long. So for the average driver they will be around low to mid 30s on highway and low to mid 20s in city.
Secondly I have two friends with the new 08 Focus that drive like grandmas and still do not get 44mpg so you must have a blessed car or you are just full of shit. I bet you get around mid 30s maybe if lucky 40, but I am going more mid 30s.
@madkat1125 uhhhh bullshit. There's no way in hell you are getting 50 mpg or 44.4 whatever traveling at highway speeds. You'd get mid 30's, 38 at the most but not 44.4. I get over 50 mpg with my car (highway) and the only reason is because it has a 1.9L turbo diesel engine.
is that a st or ?

madkat1125 is correct
a focus CAN get 44 highway due to driving style
you are all just uneducated twats...

what should a BONE-STOCK focus 2.3L with a
5spd get for mpg???? Please tell me!
gregger454 3 years ago
My 2.0 Duratech (they don't put 2.3's in focus anymore I guess) gets about 25mpg and about 50mpg on the highway
madkat1125 3 years ago
I am getting a bit less than that... But pretty close. All depends on the driving style :)
fast07st 3 years ago
ummm no it should get around 30 highway and 20s city. Your AN IDIOT.
Either you do not know how to determine MPG or you just do not know anything about the Focus.

brad6044 3 years ago
where did you git the bumper?
i have a focus too,
dont like the factory bumper
i want a bumper like that on my focus
gunotbibby 3 years ago
that bumper was an optional piece in the appearance package for the ZX3 and ST from the factory.
I haven't seen it elsewhere for sale but you can most likely find it.

Yeah,I used to say the same thing until I got an 07 ST with the 2.3 Duratec.
The ST has quicker quarter mile times than the Focus SVT.
Go Duratec!!!

WOW no way, i thought the engine was from BMW, dude man Ford owns Mazda so it dont matter....

33% stake in the company isnt 'owning'. This guy should have found a 2.3L DISI from a Mazdaspeed, it's already built up...

The car is a 2007 ST. The FocusSport Stage 2 turbo kit costs about $4000. The body kit is the OEM factory Street Appearance Package.
