Man this tune is amazing! Not to mention Mase and Puff Daddy made this a hip hop track... I hope Dominatrix got paid for that because this shit is epic!
First heard this on the House Music Mixes. Loved it. Got the record. This is my first time seeing the video. This is something I could easily see The Pussycat Dolls or even Lady Gaga doing.
nepenthe people of the world ,no one did it better,i know i played all music, thanks for the memories,D.J. AL PETERS i wish we could do it all again, peace, out
Holy Crap...I forgot all about this song. I haven't heard this in years. This is one of my favorites. The 80s had the best music. I had the time of my life back then...dancing to this and other great songs in clubs. Listening to this in my car.....oh the great memories.
...one of my dearest classics ever, i play it agian and again and again..pitcht up tempo 4-7 %. At last Time . July 2011.. 10 Years Party Club Kinski Berlin. Best Regards Dj Ultra

@matsuoo LISTEN TO ME MATSUOO - I agree - Gaga is ripping off all this stuff...but you and I must be the same age - The age when these songs were original and hot. So...if ...in 2010 Lady Gaga brings back the kind of music YOU and I have loved (ju- st like Madonna did in the 80s)...then we should be happy. Rock has only existed since the 50s. And all the artists have been ripping eachother off,
the Starck Club sounds a lot like the Kennel Club in Philly were this song was on the playlist in the final months of '84.......Thanks so much for posting this track filled with great memories!!
@sking55 YEP...I was there. Under age too! However, this song will always remind me of Nepenthe in Ft. Lauderdale. They had a alternative teen night summer 1985.
I remember this from the breakdancing days. Watching the video again, it seems like everything that Lady Gaga does now was already done in this video.
Another song from the eighties that I didn't get to hear for the first time till the mid or late 1990's(I think I heard this song on a radiostation and remember the title/band anounced by the DJ).It has an early eighties "old skool" break dance beat(makes me either wanna do regular club dance moves or breakdance & pop)
Im back in high scool again. We wore Lee colored jeans,or two tone jeans, Le tigre polo shirts, Cazal glasses. Swatch waches Leather Bomber coats and Aidas, Reboks or pumas. Nike was just getting big.
This video is A.W.E.S.O.M.E. GREAT VIDEOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! 80's rule and I SOOO WISH MUSIC, BANDS were still like this!!!!!!! GREAAT SONG! GENIUS FOR WHOEVER PUT THIS!!! BIG STANDING OVATION FROM ME. LOVE THIS!! GOOD MEMORIES!
Nice to see over 5,000 views in 3 months. This video is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in NY. Also the recording is in the soundtrack of the movie about the artist Basquiat - The Radiant Child which opens this week.
This takes me way back. I had this in vinyl as part of a compilation, I played it to death until one day it got close to the heat vent and it got warped. I had never seen the video so am glad it is here and I can now listen and watch. Thanks for posting it
I just read that this song is in the new movie about the late artist Basquiat called "Radiant Child". Interestingly, Basquiat was in a movie called "Downtown 81", and Claudia S. had a bit part in that movie.
Man this tune is amazing! Not to mention Mase and Puff Daddy made this a hip hop track... I hope Dominatrix got paid for that because this shit is epic!
