H-D chose a belt because this bike was built for public roads. If it was a track bike like the XR-750, where they were interested about any additional power they could get, they'd USE chains, and they DO! But, since it's meant for the general public, where longevity of parts (the life of the vehicle, for example) is more attractive than <1 ft-lb, or <1 horse, they use a belt. But you can't even spell check your two-cent comment, so I don't expect you to understand.

its pretty crazy. just looking at it makes you think of the old xr750. Its got something like 90 horse and i havent heard a bad word about it yet. and for price, a little over 11grand, its really impressive

This is exactly why I ride sportbikes. For 120cc, you can have 190+ horsepower, not just 90. The old MotoGP Harleys looked good (for a Harley), and I don't see why they don't return to making performance bikes. A liquid cooled V4, like Aprilia, could dominate Superbike, or MotoGP if they got really ambitious. You know the saying, "Win on Sunday, sell on Monday..." And they could use some sales.
