  • snare drum sounds sweet!:)

  • The ones that criticise this video, are fucking numb minded, retarded individuals. AND, if your a drummer that has criticised this video, do every talented, and open minded musician the privilage, by selling your kit, and NEVER drumming again! CUNTS!!!!

  • Good job pal!!!

  • i just cant believe someone can be so fast at double bass while sucking so hard at everything else...

  • That was great. I thought (wrongly) that for these guys that teach speed, that they believe (or have brainwashed themselves) into thinking music, or drums is all about speed. 200bpm 250bpm.....300BPM!!!!!!!! FASTER FASTER. That was unexpected with musicianship and not all about being FAST. I truly believe that too many young drummers are missing the point and trying to get fast, and ONLY fast with zero musicianship. Does a metronome have talent? What about a FAST metronome?

  • Hey Dude! Where is the drummer?

Tim, you're not a good drummer!

  • one of the best things i've seen by you tim, it was a pretty interesting video, with lots of textures (which i really loved) and nice playing, amazing

  • Sucked

  • and finally, your video with cymbals is again not so good. What is point of playing cymblas like drums. You just played what you would play with a drumset, but this time on cymbals instead of drums. You are doing your boring double bass fills on cymbals?

  • As to your creativity, dude, you are terrible. Your beats are so boring, your fills are shitty. There is no musical link to what you are trying to do. There is no connection between rhythms, fills, gaps, etc. I can write a whole essay about how incompetent you are at drumming. Scary part is that you are trying to convey knowledge to people. So, I beg you to stop doing instructional videos and start taking lessons from a proper teacher. And dont play double-bass and blast beats again please.

  • Watch dave weckl, thomas lang, jojo mayer or any of the other masters solo videos and compare it with yourself trying to be unbiased. I am not saying everybody has to be an expert, but dude you are trying to TEACH drumming to people. In order to be teacher, you have to be a good player first technique-wise. If you didnt mention yourself as a teacher, I wouldnt even be this criticizing.

  • You cant even do a proper single roll on the hi-hat. You cant open the hi-hat on time. You cant play ghost notes. Your fills are so intermediate and predictable. Even your bass drum sounds off time. You have to be learning some techniques before even trying to teach anything. You are nothing more than an intermediate drummer with an unnecessary and terrible-sounding fast double bass playing

  • First of all, your technique is so forced and awful. You seem to know something, but they just dont fit anything you try to play. I think, you should first master singles, doubles and paradiddles before trying to play 250 whatever bmp double bass. I am really trying to be objective here, but dude your technique is really bad. Watch your Tim Waterson Open drum solo video again.

  • @erman111 lol cuz you're better

  • I hate to write bad comments about people who seem to try to show/teach others something in good faith and i mean absolutely no disrespect; but your banal, unimaginative, forced, incompetent drumming and as wells as your insecurity and priggery that you show by responding to all the criticizing comments one by one, left me no choice but say a few words about your videos:

  • @erman111 lol cuz you're better

  • Yeah, we all sit behind the kit and masturbate don't we. Pretty samey same shit, which era are we referencing here, yawn.

  • It feels like I'm deaf in one ear watching this

  • кривой как хрен знает что.Фубля.

  • i like this setup haha seems cool to have everything including the hi hat pointing at you at the same angle

  • @vicfirthdrummer95 Thats because its on a drumframe, invented by Bob Gatzen. You can find his channel here on YouTube ;)

  • i love playing just for the sake of hearing whats in my head on drums, good stuff

  • ГАВНО!

  • is that a green LED light on your floor tom, nice, just like Adrian young

  • that was some amazing drumming right there. some of the best ive seen in awhile. i just started drumming not to long ago. and was wondering if anyone had any tips to help increase the speed of my left hand (which is my off hand)

  • Thanks fopr the kind words this is just freeform to see what comes out.

I HATE to rehearse eveything so it sounds perfect LOL

ALSO play everything left handed for a month and you'll notice a BIG difference

    Tim

  • @TimWaterson and this is why us left handed people are special :P. Also whats that rack system you use, I cant remember what they are called but Will Kennedy uses one as well doesn't he?

  • I have no idea why I haven't before but this video got me to subscribe to your channel. You have the most enviable chops and I salute you.

    Cheers!

  • whats the point in tilting everyting backwards? if its no different to just bein flat, whats it like?

  • long story short ...car accident in 2000

i use the drum frame to help my bback when touring

    Tim

  • what bells are thoose?

  • what shell set is that?

  • Ludwig Vistalite jelly-bean. :P acrylic shells.

  • thanks. but i figured that out about 2 mins later when i looked at the video that said he had the jellybean set. lol

  • I need some gauze for my ears

  • Why is the left crash clamped so tightly on the stand?

  • i clamp mine tight, is that a problem? i'm relatively new to drums so i dont know.

  • Tightening the cymbals will inhibit their movement which deadens their sound and may lead into cracks.

  • uh oh, i've been clamping my good one tight and leaving my crappy one loose cause i'm one wingnut short. haha. (how's that for a setup for someone to burn me...)

    thanks for the tip.

  • I know about the tightening of the clamps can lead to cracking, but can the angle of the cymbals lead to cracking? i have got through alot of crash cymbals and i have them slightly titled pointing down towards me

  • Slight angles won't have an ill effect, but extreme angles will. If your cymbal is at a steep angle, it will be resting against the cymbal stand's rod, which can cause excessive stress to the bell -- especially if the cymbal is heavy and large. Generally though, angling cymbals is better than having them totally level, since you're less likely to hit them right on the edge.

  • cracks only if you hit way to hard

  • Yes, but over tightening will lower the threshold of "way too hard". Loose cymbals can be struck harder without causing damage.

  • Nice changeup from the usual man! respect I only posted one vid of myself doing a solo. check it out if you'd like

  • LUV the clear shells. very sweet touch

  • Nice technique!

    Grande Tim!

  • Awesome dude! Great playing and cool drum sounds!

  • Did you play with moeller on your feet. I couldnt really see the "Legcam" Is so small :).

I like your style. no matter what you do it always looks so controlled and planned.

  • I wish so badly i could learn your foot technique!

  • that groove at 0:50 is sick

  • not too shabby.
