this game feels like an online zelda game ;) love zelda, tired of wow, might just try this when it launches.. from watching this I get a feeling that u will be "soloing" most of the time and getting ganked as well.. perhaps why they put the word Online in the end of the game's title
Yes, i agree. It will be too dangerous to travel alone. And that's what going to make people travel in groups. Otherwise they will get ganked and looted.

The gameplay's good, and the graphics aren't bad (at least they aren't cartoony like some other large MMO's hint hint...), if you want good graphics, you're in the wrong genre.
MMO's with good graphics typically fail, *cough*AoC*cough* because much is sacrificed for the graphics, leaving less for the gameplay.
If you want graphics that're real, go look out a window.

its not, but good graphics and animations can be acheived as well. AoC had good graphics, it was just release half finished, almost all other mmorpgs have better animations, the jogging on this is the walking but spead up and the sprinting is walking sped up even more!
And yes its been in development 8 years, although realistically 3 years because they redesigned the game after the failed 2006 release.
Crysis system req was out 2 days before we could buy it dont worry ;). also this company in special are afraid of saying to much since we all know 25feb is release but it may fail and take a second attempt and there for they dont like to be all pumped up about it (besides from Age of copy craft)

lol ha ha what your missing is that the npcs are super smart and they can dodge most of your attacks and they are a great challenge. and other great graphics that this guys computer can obviously not handle.

This is the worst third person view i saw in my life. I dont even try to compar it with the wow view, but i compar it with socom, gear of war, savage 2 and many other games. They should fuking fix it.
They intentionally designed it that way so that you cannot see 50 feet behind you without turning around. Seeing as there is not stealth like WoW being not being able to see far behind you helps people sneak up on others.

11 days till launch and there's still no word on any kind of public play testing even though one lasting a "few weeks" was promised, no word on when/where/how you will be able to buy it, no pricing, no system specs, no reviews or previews on any major gaming sites, no PR, no new website...
Maybe, or maybe not - I havnt really followed this game at all (by the sound of delays thank god) but look how many people are looking forward to this game without any of that stuff, if they just release it out of nowhere then put up all the info it'll be one unique launch

The game's concept is interesting. Above all, I'd say the largest factor against Darkfall is how much they're trying to do before launch. The last people that attempted this much was Vanguard, and they didn't even have helm's in the game when it launched. Only time will tell, but it'll be fun to try if it succeeds.

Animations are bad, but overall graphics are kinda nice if you ask me. Landscape looks immersive, buildings are realistic. Pretty sure that DF isn't a vaporware now, hope it will have promised features. And if it won't...oh well, Spellborn is coming.
I don't know how peeople can judge a game on a 1:14 video that hardly shows anything. Ultima Online looks like it would have sucked too, but graphics are not the only thing that makes a game worth playing. If the features are good I will play it regardless of how crappy it looks. I really don't see why everyone is complaining about the animations... they seem fine to me o.O . Her legs while she runs seem a little weird (kinda like she's gotta poo) but that's such a small detail. The game looks very smooth otherwise.

terrible game, i was in beta. they tried to copy UO, its like a bad UO with great graphics. This will fail fast. it might not even make it to the U.S. jan 22 is EU date.

if you want good graphics, im 100% serious, go play AoC, that game is 0 gameplay 100% graphics. If yall come to this game yall will be like: "fuck the boobs don't bounce! The game is actually an mmo and not a singleplayer action grinder! Im outta here!"
Though I do agree, they could work on the animations without making the game lag, I think the graphics are more than decent if even half of the promised features r in.

The game's concept is interesting. Above all, I'd say the largest factor against Darkfall is how much they're trying to do before launch. The last people that attempted this much was Vanguard, and they didn't even have helm's in the game when it launched. Only time will tell, but it'll be fun to try if it succeeds.

Im rly looking forward to this game, World looks amazing but Im concerned bout the character animations cus they look rather stupid, I hope they fix em before launch. And all who say graphics are least importat, In my oppinion they are not. UO doesnt have bad graphics for its time imo and its 2d, this is a next gen 3d mmo so the graphics rly do matter, especially how the avatar looks... that will be 1 of the most important things in an mmo cus thats how players want to represent themselves.

Animations are bad, but overall graphics are kinda nice if you ask me. Landscape looks immersive, buildings are realistic. Pretty sure that DF isn't a vaporware now, hope it will have promised features. And if it won't...oh well, Spellborn is coming.

Ultima Online looks like it would have sucked too, but graphics are not the only thing that makes a game worth playing. If the features are good I will play it regardless of how crappy it looks. I really don't see why everyone is complaining about the animations... they seem fine to me o.O . Her legs while she runs seem a little weird (kinda like she's gotta poo) but that's such a small detail. The game looks very smooth otherwise.

ever game has its people that hate it... if you dont like it then dont buy it...simple as that. I think its worth trying out. If not buying the game atleast trying the trial out. As far as the animation goes..you can always turn up graphics etc in the options menu.

From what iv read on the forums also, the reason there is no release date for NA yet is because the producers of darkfall havnt found a publisher in NA yet. Thats just what iv read tho.
