@mememms truthfully, the series goes God of War: Chains of Olympus, God of War, God ofWar: Betrayal and God of War: Ghost of Sparta (as these both take place between I and II, but neither were chronologically separated from each other, although Betrayal came first, so it MAY go Betrayal THEN Ghost of sparta), God of War II, and God of War III. Also there is rumored to be an upcoming God of War IV, and there is a God of War film in the making.

Him jumping off the cliff at the beginning of GOW1 has nothing to do with this last scene from GOW:COO. Just rewatch the first scene from GOW1 and you will see that it ends with "3 weeks earlier," so the entire plot of GOW1 takes place before he jumps off the cliff. The cutscene from this video really doesn't have anything to do with the cliff other than a gateway to Olympus is there.

It is because when Athena and Helios catch him and lay him on the ground. He is at the cliffs where he jumps off in God of War 1. Remember in GOW 1 when Kratos is standing on the edge of the cliff and says "The Gods have abandoned me" and jumps off the cliff. That's where he is when he falls from Helios' Chariot!, Hope it helps you make sense of it!!! :)

No the ending of Chains of Olympus is not the beginning of GOW1. The beginning or GOW1 is a flashback of what takes place within that game. The first scene of GOW1 ends with Kratos jumping off the cliff, and then the game takes place within the 3 weeks before he jumps. In those 3 weeks the entire plot of the game unfolds (getting pandora's box and killing Ares) and only after he realizes he cannot be ridden of his nightmares, he goes to the cliff and jumps off.

No I'm pretty sure it will go more like you face the other Gods before Zeus because Zeus is their ruler, and they know he is the key to keeping Olympus alive. That is why Athena sacrificed herself for him in GOW2.

No, if you watch the gameplay they released for GOW3 it shows Kratos killing Helios in basically a cutscene mini-game, so that's one potential boss battle lost. The only bosses I can think of that are for sure are Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon.

But ya so far shceduled for march because the developers have released all GOW games in march but wernt ready for 2009. But they will be done before 2010.
