  • Great animation and good story too.

  • The Rock Cycle. I guess that's another way to put it. At the end he was igneous!!!!

  • Amazing! Beautiful story and the animation was fantastic!

  • Life is not easy. I liked your video, good job.

  • *Standing Ovation*

  • Beautiful, just beautiful! Great job!

  • Great video and beautiful message!

  • I truely did not fully understand what was going on and I was going to look for answers but Albo put that in plain black and white for me. Thank you *=)

  • - comet hitting planet = sperm hitting egg

    - birth, seeing the world for the first time in amazement, pure joy = being a child

    - hitting storm clouds and body changing = uncertainty, puberty, body changes

    - seeing the ocean = realizing own future death, confusion, frustration

    - hitting clouds = challenges in life we must face, struggle at first

    - escaping clouds = learning to deal with the challenges

    - enjoying life, smiling ending on a good note.... whole theme of this video

    just amazing.

  • what program was use to make it?

  • He looks like e.t.

  • amazing. he died happy. =)

  • @Uberokeer Watch it couple more times and you'll understand it even better. You'll even pass the depression part! :)

  • Good Animation!

  • 25 persosn didn't understand the message of the video.

  • Awesome Video..!!!!

  • Amazing, a very nice video.

  • շաաաաաաաատ հուզիչ էր :'((((

  • Mildly depressing

  • Notice his expressions

    It's a metaphor for life

You are born, you are joyful you are curious, then learn about death and start fearing it, but later accept it and contunue enjoying life and end it in bliss.

  • good animation

but all I've understood in that story was a falling turd.

someone please explain it to me?

  • @dropxdeadxgeneva

Don't worry about it! Honestly! You'll learn life your own way.

  • How cute is your lil character !

  • Great animation but..

what's the morale of the story? Theme?

sorry for asking ,coz i hv been given an assignment related to storywriting n script

  • Did he survive? :)

  • Great work! Let me guess, Vue and FumeFX? Awesome animarion!

  • Forgive me if I've missed something... but what was so life changing about it???

  • Love it!

  • Life is short. Enjoy every moment.

  • Cool but make the next one funny!

  • Ussually, I love stuff like this but... the creature was... unattractive... Can't say I took anything out of this....

Blah, blah blah, moral about enjoying life while it lasts... How borishly cliche. Nope wasn't wow'd.. Feels like I've seen this same moral played out a million times and i'm just no longer entertained by it's meaning. Or it's portrayal, not this one anyway...

  • that's beautiful !

  • POKEBALL GO!!

  • Life is finite and full of many obstacles that can hurt you, but you might as well enjoy the fall while you can. You know it'll end, you see it coming, so why be melancholy about it? Dodge your clouds and make it fun while it lasts. :3

  • has anyone noticed the true moral in this? there might be more then one, but i found it meaning this: You must enjoy the ride, do not be sad and be scared, enjoy the time you have left, if you notice, the astroid guy is scared of falling into the Water, but he eventually gets over it and has fun :) it is sad to see him get frozen :( but it is a lesson great to learn :)

  • Kiwi

  • Runi has a point! Almost ALL of the kids at my school just want things DONE and OVER with but never notice the TRUE beauty in things! Luckily I was raised by a GOOD family that teaches me to notice these things and listens to good music instead of the shit they have out now. That is one of the reasons I wish I was born back during like the 70sor 80s when music was GOOD and people APPRECIATED things like this! So good job and nice post Runi.

  • great rendering! However I think the character design and character animation can be improve

  • cool animation!!!

  • Touching animated short!

Enjoy your life's last moment while you can.

  • if you have to go , go with a smile :)

  • I love stories that make you think, that have the power to shift your whole philosophy, to instil humility and gratitude. This story does just that in 3m50s.

I agree with trikpa - It's the cycle of life and we are mostly consumed with fighting or denying that which we have no control over. The only real control that we have (at least in my opinion) is our thoughts and today I decide to nuture what I have and enjoy it - material aqusition and hostility just does'nt seem important anymore.

  • pretty much like the animation Kiwi

I like both of these animations and when I get to college I'm going to start doing some animations myself! (^_^)

  • This is beautiful. Well done!

  • I raise bunnies, thats about it. ;D

  • I love this.... It's brilliant. I love the way he tries to fight gravity and resigns himself to it. He even enjoys it at some moments.

A microcosm of life in a few minutes... Bravo

  • Muito legal essa #animação #3d.

  • Трогательно... Просто до слез трогательно

  • I do not believe we get a second chance in any manifestation of an "afterlife", and that is precisely why I find this life so precious and important to fully experience. Almost ironically, learning to let go of life (and subsequently gaining freedom from the fear of "true death"), is a vital part of that experience.

  • This is truly a beautiful and poignant piece of work. In under 4 minutes it captures my personal philosophies on death and living (which usually I have a hard time explaining to people :-).

  • I really like this video. I could be completely overshooting the meaning behind the video (I'm not too good when it comes to meanings) but it just reminds me that I should enjoy the ride of what we call life. And hopefully at the end of this ride I can look back on everything I've done/accomplished and have a big smile on my face. That's just my interpretation though. Loved the video!

  • Sad, but life is like that, isn't it? You have to enjoy it, and smile....

  • It reminds me of the Kiwi video... :'( It's so sad....

  • so saaad :'(

  • nett^^ hübsche idee^^

  • As I said before in my prvious Channel, sweet ... Masterful and seeing the other clips I'm simply dumb-struck ... Domo ... at the complexity of the art... Arigato

    Best wishes, runi toconillo.

  • What 3d animation program did you use

  • @ProAirsoft3849 We used XSI for Animation and 3ds max with Vray/Aburn for Rendering. We got the models over with PointOven. (great workflow!)

  • this is so beautiful. it takes alot of imagination to make such a simple plot like this seem emotional and thoughtful. Especially at the end.

  • That was very....very...good. I didnt know u could explain so much in such a short period of time.

  • WOW! It's damn good.. So many symbols, metaphors.. Makes me think about my own life..

  • That was real good. thanks...

  • Carpe Diem but Memento Mori

  • Life is short so try to enjoy every second of it.

  • you will start living only if you forget about death

  • Beautiful animation. Both the visual quality and the message :)

  • big emotions. superb. Makes you think, and when you realize it - it blows you away.

Moment of birth > enjoyment in life > seeing ones doom > fighting in hope of evading own death > realization this is a way it is > will to enjoy last unique, beautiful moments > facing own death and embracing it with joy, fulfillment and uniqueness of life itself > ending this journey with sincere and serene smile.

    just whoa! well done. superb!

    Be well

  • @trikpa What a beautiful description for a beautiful clip. This is how we all should live our lifes.

  • @trikpa i like the comment.

  • Months-on stil a great and inspiring video.

  • great!

  • Loved it!!!!!

  • Why?!

  • Lovely to see so much movement over a "Video clip" but quite honestly, are we not missing thepoint here? Which one of you has actually planted a tree? Watched it grow... nurtured a life-form? So few of you... no wonder... and your kids??? Runi.

  • Kudos, my friend. I'm usually a negative person, but not many things have made me think and notice all the things that my luterature teacher has wanted me to notice from a certain literary work. This is one of those things and I truly hope that it has touched others as much as it touched me when I first saw it and every time after that. :)

To your point. I think kids having little, or not so little, pets is what teaches them the joy and responsibility of nurturing something while it exists.(bow)

  • strange, similar here... i don't exactly provide a "child-friendly envirionment". My comment: the "Kids" part, as you say, if we do not provide safety for ourselves, any parent knows that we automatically do so for our offspring. The "pet" part, rather unusual, but rather than "feeding a cat" I wonder if a tree might not bring more comfort. Thanks.

  • @ffaall > I'm still Runi ... Your comment reminded me of an event ... I myseld aren't blessed with kid, butI get along with them fantastically ... I once "Baby-sitted" for a friend & spent the day in the park. The 4-year-old also had a great time chasing grass-hoppers and at one point stepped on one ... She ran to me and demanded that "I repair it" ... It was the most valuable lesson anyone has ever taught me... Cheers, Runi.

  • @RuniToconillo i planted a tree in the back yard of my house when i was seven, i came back to see it last year when i was 16 and the ppl in that house chopped it down b/c it blocked their view of a little pond. i was so mad it was pretty big too, taller than me.

  • @RuniToconillo Well I've planted many trees... :P Even though I'm 14 hehe. I also Do a lot of gardening at home and school. :)

  • C'est la Vie.

  • lovely. It feels true.

  • I get what the artist is trying to say, its a very deep subject and its an interesting vehicle to express it. However the character design and animation doesn't seem to match up with the rest of the film. Great idea, but conceptually executed.

  • This is great but I see a few flaws off the bat. First the initial heating should be much more intense , even the air should glow in fiery streaks. Second the close-up of the oceans waves are shown too soon. Also the collision with the water should be much more powerful and we should see the water around him boil. Still this is a cool short. Thanks for making it.

  • Hello Michalchik, thank you for your comment! My name is Wolfram Kampffmeyer,I'm the creator of this animated short, together with Sascha Geddert. The reason for the flaws you discovered here are simply the lack of time we had. We had just 6 weeks to do this short, starting with finding an idea, designing the character and doing all the animation and effects. The waves, it's right, is too soon, but we wanted to show the danger coming from it. I'm glad everybody understood the meaning of the story.

  • @webwolf4you

whats the name of the song in this video?

    ...I love it! Great video!

  • @vadimnutz Hello, the song in this video was composed especially for our animated short. So there is no title :-)

    Regards

    Wolfram

  • @webwolf4you

So it makes this film more beautyful!

    Very soulful!

  • I think it says something about us as a species when something like this is less popular than "FAT KID ON ROLLER-COASTER LOL."

  • Bello...

  • good very good exelent

  • Carpe Diem

    :D

  • i love this clip. wrote an short article about that last year and since i´ve seen it the first time its one of my favourites.

  • I'd love to hear your view on the video! I've loved it since the very first view... and I see new things in it each and every time I watch it again! The symbolism is awesome!

  • put you on stumble for the vid :)

  • how does this not have alot of views!?

  • poor guy

  • You got it right! :) No need to apologize for your English.

How I see it ... its a short-version of a human's life... it has ups and downs... disappointments and happy moments... birth and the inevitable oblivion... the only difference is how each one of us(meteors on our way to the ocean) take your journey on this planet. If we can embrace all the joy and happiness that surrounds us we can live happily and fully!

  • I dunno about the cute girl with the marijuana-strain nickname but, ffaall, you need to apologize for your English. :D :D :D :D

  • My apologies!

  • This movie is really beautyful! I see it as: Enjoy the life, so long it be.

"seeing the water, and afraid to die. But later it get its eyes up, and seeing the beauty in life".

[hope you onderstand.. I am danish, and not really good to english.... ;) ]

  • love this one!
