What's with the "you can't die of AIDS in 3/5/6 months" crap? HIV is a virus that can lie dormant for upwards of 10 years, silently damaging the immune system while causing no symptoms. Once your T-cell count drops below 200 OR you contract one or more "AIDS-defining" diseases, you're considered to have AIDS. Once you have AIDS, you can die in weeks or even days depending on when it was detected.
Eazy likely contracted HIV in the mid-late '80s like so many other people. RIP.

He's from my generation, he was born in 1963, so he would have been in that cohort of sexually-active young adults when the disease was running rampant among both the gay and straight communities. He would have contracted it when the incubation period for the disease was getting shorter than 10 years. Poor guy. He was so young, and unfortunately he did not pay enough attention to his legal affairs before he got really sick, so his Estate was a mess.
