  • This is pathetic. Pack it in.

  • @ventureelect

Yeah, I did not realize this simple video would get such a reaction! Thank you for your comment :).

  • the voice made this the stupidest video ever

  • VERY FUNNY VOICE I will check up on who you are, I DONT THINK YOU SHOULD BE WORKING WITH ELECTRIC!!!!!!!

I could not listen to your vid as its crap

  • he got out his equipment and started playing with it

  • 2 de tension

  • guys i wanna put a capacitor in an electric motor, the motor uses 4 AAA batteries wich one can i use, the motor is fron a R/C car (xmods), i can buy the capacitor from ebay but they sell them for about $6 dollars, and i know i can get capacitors for a cheaper price but i don't know what kind i have to use, the capacitor has to be hook from the (-) to (+) of the motor or (+) to (-). some help please

  • How do you fully charge a capacitor using simply a battery and certain electronics? Name the electronics and circuit make up in your reply or reference me to something please.

  • you can't even talk so you make your computer talk

  • The capacitor in the video is a ceramic one, which is not the best quality. It only took me a couple of seconds to charge it and it held its charge for several days. The only limit I know is to use a capacitor that has a storage capacity greater than 9 volts or else the capacitor may explode. I do not know the answer to the last question. Have a good day.

  • its an electrolytic capacitor, ceramic ones are ceramic which gives you an idea as to why theyre called ceramic.

and capacitors charge instantly and then discharge instantly, the meter shows this as a slow discharge because its making a visual interpretation.

I hope by now youve learnt abit more about these things, plus capacitors are usually used as filters rather than the storage of electricity.

  • Thank you for clearing that up. I checked the package and it is an electrolytic capacitor.

  • @insonicbloom Actually, they NEVER charge instantly and neither do they discharge.

Because ideal components don't exist, you always have some resistance in your circuit and therefore the cap doesn't charge up instantly.

Also, if you wanted the cap to charge up instantly, you'd need infinite current. Again, impossible.

  • @davidjereb I wasn't talking in a literal sense, I know its not completely instant but its fast enough for it to be seen as instant without bombarding people with formulae and technicalities especially because at the time they thought it was a ceramic cap I thought it would be abit pointless.

  • @insonicbloom You have a point there, sir.

  • @davidjereb I checked out your vids dude, and your Arduino based "magic" switch intrigues me, I wanted to implement something similar on a motorized or indeed a digital ramp volume fader for a hifi amplifier I made, at the moment its a CMOS based touch switch (CD4013 if I remember correctly) anyway if you have a link to a project site forward it to me :)

  • lol

  • why the voice

  • because his real voice would betray what a nerd he is.

  • @ratheads lol

  • Is that you, GLaDOS?

Better than a sleeping pill actually.
