Same as me. I diagnosed myself with the help of the internet, youtube and some ebooks, and i was right. For 8 years i was losing my mind, was sent to psychiatrists, psychotherapists and other "experts", they were giving me sleeping pills, prozac, and other crap until i came across a video explaining the endocrine system, the functions of glands and the effect of imbalanced hormones on our system. It was a big relief, for i finally knew what i was up against. Nice video, thanks for sharing!

thank you for sharing your story and everything you have learned. my best friend has had ongoing problems since high school (15 years!) and had surgeries and various diagnosis, but they finally have diagnosed her with cushing's. i want to be supportive, so i'm trying to educated myself. thank you!

I have all the symptoms, except the hump in neck. I had 2 kids within 2 years. my middle section is getting bigger & bigger. I am 27 yrs old, & still look 7 months pregnant.I've also gained A LOT of weight in my face.I work out faithfully, & diet. I think I can have panic attacks @ times. I wish I could get a diagnosis.

I hate lazy doctors! This woman gained 100 pounds in less than 1 year! There is no way any normal & healthy person can gain that much weight in 9 months. Instead of making excuses, the doctors should have told her that they didn't know what was wrong with her.

Wow....this is great. I have a strange situation. I have Adrenal Insufficiency but I am gaining weight not losing it. Also I have Cushing type symptoms. I will have an MRI Wednesday at the famous Vanderbilt University Med Ctr. They are so good there. My cortisol barely registered a one. Have been so sick for so long. Doctors (about seven of the) tried to make me thing I was nuts, menopausel, severly depressed and a hypochrondriac! I am writing them all a letter after th is is all done!

Thanks for posting this! My beloved sister is having Cushing syndrome and it`s very frustrating for her me and everyone else who loves her! She`s waiting for an operation but the doctors have very little knowledge on this disease here in my country.

wow im so glad i saw this i been suffering from panic attacks nd a bunch of weird symptoms but i got weightloss lost 10 pounds in a month..ive gotten tested for everything but my pituitary gland..if theirs neone else suffering from this on here id love to hear from you ! i been suffering from panic attacks sense i was 8 and its just gotten worst idk where to turn to..it would mean so much to me if neones going through the same thing ! thanks =] britt

Be sure to have them check your cortisol levels. I had your symptoms too and it was Adrenal Inssuficiency (Addison's disease) I will have an MRI pituitary gland to see if their is a tumor. Been very, very ill!

Wow, I just found out that I have a microadenoma in my pituitary glad. I was sick for 15+ years with no explanation. It turns out I have low testosterone but my cortisol levels seem ok.

Thank you for posting. My onset with Cushing's was 1999, when I was 19 yrs old. When I was 25 I remember gaining around 30lbs in 2 weeks! I thought I was pregnant! After 7 yrs without diagnosis, I was miserable and ill everyday. Finally, last year, I had an MRI and was diagnosed, with a pituitary tumor. I had it removed 9 months ago, and I'm taking hydrocortisone and desmopressin daily. I went from 198lbs to 175lbs as of today.

my son has it! he is dx with so many things. then we saw a dr in endocrine clinic at arkansas childrens hospital. she walked in took one look and said he has cushings. she did test and he had it! it is very hard to deal with. my mom had a dna test to she if she had something other than cushings and they said she was a carrier. now that i think about i think i might have it. i lost 23 lbs due to gall bladder removal but my stomache is still big like i am 9 months preg and i am so frustrated!

Im going through the procedures of being tested. For years I have bee without my period and the Dr told me it was normal. Changed Gynos and she took one look at me and said Cushings. Thanks for posting when I get cured I'll be doing the same and crusade for Cushing suffers.
