@losttomeself To help in these situations, I usually test the brakes way before the stop sign to see how slippery it is. You can see it in my video titled "Stopping On Slippery Hill". If I didn't tested the brakes, I would've slid through the stop sign and hit the car that was crossing the road. I learned this the hard way though. My first winter driving, I hit the brakes and slid sideways through a red light, but (thankfully) didn't hit anybody. What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger lol.
yeah not anything you can really do and lucky no one was on the road really! something like that you would have to slow way early on to keep slowing all the way to stop sign but things happen cant always be done! the best thing to do as well is let off brakes so you can at least steer! you did good though!
You can see the tire marks of other cars that slid through the stop sign, you weren't the only one.
