  • This is really good. I have a classmate who's deaf and I would love to find out how to sign this someday. Thanks for doing this! :)

  • God Bless you. The song and you are making.

  • This is more PSE not ASL. Other than that, amazing job.

  • beautiful job, I love that song one of my favorites I am learning asl I want to be an interpreter I do songs at my church, thank you for the video again great job!!!

  • You sign BEAUTIFULLY. I have three very close friends and acquaintances. Two of them have been diagnosed with breast cancer recently, one for many years. The most recent was my ASL tutor at my local college. We don't know if she'll be able to tutor this semester. We attended a Music Signing workshop together today. I want to sign a song for these three women. Do you think this one would be appropriate?

  • @Frubahboi

The best song for you to do is the one that moves your heart the most. By choosing something that touches you, you will inherently put more emotion into it and touch people by your interpretation of the song. I won't do a song if I don't feel it. It comes across as fake and insincere. If this particular song speaks to your heart then it's the right song. I'm very sorry to hear about the cancer and I hope those women fight and live through it. God Bless.

  • hey I went to that site, and it wasnt there. whats going on?

  • @kellyfan25

Yeah sorry about that....I didn't renew the registration for it when it expired. Alot has happened in the last 2 years for me and maintaining the website just wasn't a priority. If you need to contact me you are welcome to send me a message on here. Thanks for your interest.

  • @CreativehandsASL oh okay. its alright. I am very interested in learning this song in sign language. do you think you could teach me?

  • so pretty. :) THanks for sharing.

    God bless you! :)

  • I agree, this is absolutely amazing!!

  • You give me goosebumps <3

  • Thanks for the explanation of what a CODA is(I am deaf so I know but others may not :-) ). What I was trying to ask you was you a CODA? I did not see it before but I see it there now :-) .

  • I'm 25 and still learning ASL as I have some friends who are deaf. What advise or websites can help me in that direction? You did an amazing job and I agree with "ruffdrive4u" as its not about the words but indeed the voice. I too lost a few close friends in the past few years and this song helps remind me of them. Keep up the good work. God bless you and your family.

  • Did you teach yourself or were you taught? I am trying to learn ASL Because my sister and I both have a hearing loss. You are amazing keep it up!

  • Beautiful! I'm pretty fluent ASL HoH myself and so most times when I see ASL songs on YouTube I will keep my aids in to hear the music and catch the meaning amidst the garbled signing. I took them off for yours! No mistake in what you conveyed. God bless you and thank you for bringing your talents.

  • awesome...thanks for posting. I am learning asl, and though I do not as a rule enjoy or even see much point in signing songs - I mean, who benefits? Only those who can hear.... But, these videos are helpful for working on my interpretation skills and this one was also very emotional and moving to watch.

  • @Bhav341 There are plenty of d/Deaf or HoH people who enjoy watching a song or poem signed or even love listening to music! There are even professional musicians who are born Deaf and yet play classical music, the idea that because you can't hear means you can't appreciate/understand/play music is just plain wrong.

Not trying to be mean, just giving the facts. :)

  • Beautifully done!

  • Other video same song they not good. Yours wonderful. CODA?

  • @1happyasthmatic Children of deaf adults

  • @1happyasthmatic CODA is children of deaf adults

  • @1happyasthmatic CODA is children of deaf adults

  • Simply Amazing!! I love this video

  • your amazing!!!!

  • GREAT JOB. From one CODA to another.

  • I got goosebumps. :) Amazing. Truely amazing.

  • wow, powerful video. I watched it 3 times so I could understand the story, but the expressions on your face were more powerful than the words you were signing.

I appreciate when people, hearing or Deaf, take time out of their lives to sign songs in ASL for Deaf people to enjoy, I'd rather watch ASL videos than regular videos with captions. I plan to start my own ASL video channel as soon as I get a better video camera and computer.

God bless you, what a great video :-)

  • this was absolutely amazing.... lovely job

  • Very well done!

  • i love to watch CoDA kids sign, i have a friend who mother's deaf and she learned signs also and i have a cousin who's mom is deaf. I love asl, im trying to enroll now for asl i know alot of signs but not comfortable to sign a song yet, it takes time.

  • I love this song, and you sign it so beautifully. Your facial gestures and body language speak volumes. Absolutely fantastic job :)

  • I just want to say Thank you!!! I have always had trouble with my ears and will be having a radical mastoidectomy next week I am Hard of Hearing as it is and will be getting closer to deaf I have been nervous and scared and thinking how are me and my son going to do after This song and watching you made me cry and remember Im not alone on this road Im on!!! • usually im horrible at knowing what others are signing, but i was able to understand exactly what parts u were on, and actually sing the song while u were signing it. great job xD

  • yep back up so we can see you better =o)

  • hey this was great but you needed to back away from the camera a little your signs arent clear enough!

  • I love your signing~ It really captures the emotion of the song. It's amazing. ^^

  • HI!

You have an incredible gift in this language and you USE IT girl! I always watch YOUTUBE songs with the volume down first. I fell in love with you just watching you tell the beautiful story. THEN,........when I heard the music,.........woah!.......AMAZING! Thank you for sharing. I teach ASL and you will be THE PERFECT EXAMPLE for non-manual markers. WOW!!!!!!!!!

  • I absolutely love this!

  • wow! my brother is partly deaf and everybody i know does sign language ASL not c sign but i know both of them and me and my brother sign all the time to each other we cool ahhaha!!!

  • SIMPLE AWSOME!

  • I love it! I'd love to see more from you. God bless!

  • God Bless CODA sister!!! waffle waffle job!!! mom and dad PROUD you!

  • I know people think you're kind of close to the camera is a problem, but I disagree. I like it's intimacy. The story is told not in your hands, but in your face. You give a good look into the heart of this character. I bet you were thinking about your own life and how some part of it reflected that song when you recorded it, weren't you? It shows. I am a singer and a wordsmith. It's not about the words or the notes but the "voice." Yours is fine. Don't change a thing.

  • wow..you're spot on. i was thinking about my son when i did this video.

thanks for pointing out something that few others noticed. i really appreciate this comment.

  • Thank you. Your praise is humbling. I always tell myself my receptive skills are utter CRAP. You give me hope that somewhere deep down inside that I will be a good interpreter someday.

  • @CreativehandsASL The only problem with this video is the sketchy nature of the camera, which MIGHT be helped by moving further from the camera (that would be the one legit reason I would have for moving back as a signer). Otherwise, a beautiful song and done quite well. God bless you and your family.

  • very good on the intrepretation one thingthough the camera is kind of close

space it back a little its easier to see,

    thanks beautiful job

  • Very very beautiful, I have loved that song since I first heard it, and like seeing it in ASL now. Please would you set the camera about a foot back for the next video so I can see all of the signs? I am trying to learn ASL to help teach my grandbaby- he is preverbal, understands words and wants to communicate, just doesn't have the fine motor oral skills yet. Also please consider doing an ASL version of "Praise you in the Storm", I would love to learn it. <3 thanks

  • Nice job. I enjoyed it very much. Fellow coda, myself. One of my wife's favorite songs by Carrie Underwood, smile.

  • I like the way you sign this song. Good job!

  • this is a well done video but I don't know about finger spellings here, is it neccessary? Is there another way to express that? I cannot catch on finger spellings well enough

  • amazing extremely moving

  • Sweet. I love this song for like my life!

  • I love it when I see people like yourself sign this great emotion inducing songs. It's one of the reasons I'm enamoured by sign language. because it's so much more than normal speech. It's everything, it's like art. Therealgoober's You found me video and ally ballybabe I can only imagine aswell as this one has almost made me cry!

Awesome job I'm finding more and more people who sign on here. I'm one of the people who watches these video to learn.

Youtube is dumb for muting/removing these videos.

  • Great job! I agree it is PSE and you did a wonderful job! So easy to understand and great expression! ;)

One suggestion - instead of fs "own" why not use "self"? just a suggestion . . . I love this song and I really enjoyed your video. keep them coming. :)

  • I agree with your suggestion. I have tried to improve with each video I've done. This was my 1st draft "so to speak" and I will most likely do this one again in the future cuz there's a few things I don't like about it.

  • frankly, i like that you fs O-W-N. it shows a beautiful emphasis of needing help.

just my thought. thanks for listening.

  • You are amazing. I'm in the 3rd semester of sign. Your expressions, your classifiers, your signs, are great.

    Thanks for sharing

  • WOW! AMAZING! I love the passion you expressed in your face it makes me actually feel the music, thank you.

  • THIS IS SOOO GOOD! im in sing language and i just did my song for my final. but i loved how fluent you were and this is a very good song to sign! VERYY GOOD! 5 out of 5!!!

  • This is Beautiful!

  • beautiful song, and signing, BUT.. you should really cut off the end of the recording after you sign, ITS all DEAD AIR.. AND BLACK....

  • this was my first video and if you look at my others i did fix this problem.

  • I LOVE this. You are amazing! It made me really appreciate this song and the beauty of sign language at the same time. I watched it about 10 times in a row, finally figuring out the sign for Jesus was the visual image of nails in the palms. Very cool.

  • Also I would label it as it done in Signed English because ASL is more condensed so for a Deaf person looking for ASL version it would be misleading. Good facials!

  • Actually it's more of pidgin sign. Definitely not signed english and not completely ASL either. It's a mixture of both.

  • Wow Great signing. One of my favorite songs. Another favorite I have is "My hear will go on" by Celine Dion. Would u able to sign to that one ? Many thanks.

  • Wow, you show a lot of emotion! Very moving. You're a great signer, and very talented! 5 stars!

  • great, maybe next time you could back up a bit so we can see you better. thanks!

  • Yes I realized after doing it that I was too close but I felt like I wouldn't be able to re-create the emotions I had when I did this piece so I kept it. If you look at the video I posted today you can see that I am further away and easier to see. Thanks for your comment!
