Mr. Eakes, great instruction vid. But if you really want to learn the technique for the hawk & trowel, you should check out Mr. Laurier Desormeaux's vids. he too is an extremely great instructor and the absolute best I've ever seen doing drywall with the hawk & trowel. He is a master at this technique! He will also explain about mud-control and how to use the hawk & trowel properly. He is by far the best hand finisher I've ever seen!

Great job in figuring how its done! But, I would highly suggest that you view another drywall finisher named " Laurier Desormeaux". I have scoued the internet for videos on how to finish drywall and found him on youtube. Unlike everybody else who manually do it by hand, he is the absolute best at this trade and teaches you the correct ways of using a hawk & trowel. He also explains how to load the mud on the trowel the easiest way. Hats off to you as well for a great vid.
