I have a really messed up front bite due to am orthodontic misadventure. My teeth come inward at an angle both top and bottom. The constant contact is wearing them away and I'll probably be toothless in a few years.

Some people just have shitty teeth with weak bones. Even perfect care without any traumatic damage can result in no teeth by 35-40 years old. Smoking isn't even a factor in this extreme cases.
