It's been 30 years since this song was released, wow. It remains timeless and fresh though.
I spent many hours playing Vice City and waiting for this song to play. Whether it was doing missions, or the infamous "wasted" screen appearing when you get owned or own yourself.
This song is so true. "We can't rewind we've gone too far" Technology is destroying so much of what was such a great and simple world. Is it really better? Do you have to know everything right now? Remember when you had to wait for the newspaper in the mornings to find out something? Or pull over on the side of the road to make a phone call? I was not that bad.
Sitting down to write a letter fold it put it in an envelope seal it put a stamp on it go to the mail box drop it in and wait a week or two. My Marrage has broken up because of things like facebook and the Iphone. My soon to be ex cannot put it down for one minute and would rather check her facebook instead of talk to me. 19 1/2 years gone 3 children wasted because mostly of technology. I am 44 now and was 16 in 1981. Those were no doubt the best times anyone could have ever imagined.
funny thing about this song, every time i steal a car in GTA Vice City i always get the same 3 songs video killed the radio star, self control or billie jean it's always those 3 songs i had it ones that i had toto but for the rest always this song
Internet is now brutally murdering the video star. This kinda depresses me. Anyone else?
Atleast with the telly you could sit with your family and watch some random crap programme. If my family crowded round me when I was on my laptop id be ultra pissed.
Yeah, it seems odd, but really those groups all roamed in the same circles and cliques. Plus, Atlantic Records controlled damn near the entire genre, which of course caused all that cross pollination such as Gabriel, Horn, Squire, Palmer and twenty other guys.
it's from gta vice city
