I spent many hours playing Vice City and waiting for this song to play. Whether it was doing missions, or the infamous "wasted" screen appearing when you get owned or own yourself.

  • lovely song. I hear this masterpiece one per day and the day is my friend.

  • YES, yes it did

  • "Queenfreddie4ever1" youre right...! i think the same that you. (tenes razon, piensio igual que vos)

  • This song is so true. "We can't rewind we've gone too far" Technology is destroying so much of what was such a great and simple world. Is it really better? Do you have to know everything right now? Remember when you had to wait for the newspaper in the mornings to find out something? Or pull over on the side of the road to make a phone call? I was not that bad.

  • Sitting down to write a letter fold it put it in an envelope seal it put a stamp on it go to the mail box drop it in and wait a week or two. My Marrage has broken up because of things like facebook and the Iphone. My soon to be ex cannot put it down for one minute and would rather check her facebook instead of talk to me. 19 1/2 years gone 3 children wasted because mostly of technology. I am 44 now and was 16 in 1981. Those were no doubt the best times anyone could have ever imagined.

  • bit sad

pictures came and broke your heart

  • cellphones killed the mp3 players , the photo camera and the video camera.

  • This song always reminds me of the VH1 80's flashback programs lol It's a great tune though!!

  • Its a pop music masterpiece...Trevor Horn is a genius.

    ABC,Frankie,Seal etc...

  • this was my best friends little sisters fav song the moved far away memories

  • Reminds me of 1979

  • i luv this song, its my favourite, always remind me of grand theft auto vice city:D

    keep it up

  • haha, a time before CGI.

  • I wonder if anyone knows that the writer of this song (and performing in this video) is no-one else than Geoffrey Dowens from ASIA.....

  • You are supposed to say 'none other than', not 'no-one else than'.

  • one of the best songs of the 80's haha

nd also on GTA VC :)

  • this always reminds me of Vice City!

  • Haha ya i just thought about gta and then searched for this song lol :P

  • Prior to this there had been some late night video programs on local TV.

Usually the videos were cheaply made, mostly on video tape, and had cheesy effects.

Still, I kind of miss those days.

  • very first music video.

aired on MTV and launched the 80's into orbit.

  • Its better novasonic

  • Schau an, der junge Wigald Boning...

  • that guy has waaaaay too many pianos... he reminds me of my dad...

  • Mr. Colbert would say that the keyboardist has a keyboard addiction.

  • I sure miss the 80's. We can't rewind we've gone to far!

  • first song showed on MTV. No joke

  • Internet is now brutally murdering the video star. This kinda depresses me. Anyone else?

Atleast with the telly you could sit with your family and watch some random crap programme. If my family crowded round me when I was on my laptop id be ultra pissed.

  • i agree

  • YouTube killed the video star?

  • Vice City haha :D

  • HELL YES!!!!!!!!! BEST GAME EVER! 80's music and tropical weather! My fantasy!

  • I LOVE THIS SONG! -watches 50 times in a row- EXCELLENT!

  • omg classic lol

  • pedophille glasses!

  • evergreen!!!!!!

  • First video on MTV back when they actually showed videos

  • So odd that Horn and Downes collaborated with Yes and Downes ended up in Asia, haha.

  • Yeah, it seems odd, but really those groups all roamed in the same circles and cliques. Plus, Atlantic Records controlled damn near the entire genre, which of course caused all that cross pollination such as Gabriel, Horn, Squire, Palmer and twenty other guys.

  • I'm such a looser....

GTA VC was the first place I ever heard this.

I played it when I was too young so now I feel like I grew up IN the 80's.

  • same.

  • this song is more than 30years old but still good
