  • Thanks for posting the video. I'll likely inherit Dad's '54 WD45 Allis-Chalmers some day. He's 83 and still using it lol. Plan to restore it and keep it forever.

  • @SADDLEHORN1A1 Thats brilliant!! I would do the exact same thing, good luck with it...

  • Very nice

  • Thank you... :-)

  • Wonderful stuff and brings back the memories! Thanks for posting this.

    Alan

  • Sorry about late reply. Thanks for watching. :-)

  • You're welcome. Really enjoyed the Fordson crawler!

    Alan

  • Thats what its all about, hopefully I'll have more footage this summer coming... :-)Paul.

  • Hi Paul. Looks like I shall have to subscribe so I get to know when you put up some more. Stand by . . .

    Alan

  • Thanks Alan, that sounds good to me....!! :-))

  • Very nice video! Excellent quality and a lot of interesting tractors!

    5*!!!

    Bidone

  • Thank you, this was a very good show because lots of the tractors were working in the fields, plus the weather was very nice on this day. My video skills are slowly improving with time...!! Glad you enjoyed and thanks for watching and rating... :-))

  • That was a fantastic video, brought back a load of memories, i'm only 30, however, when i was 14, i started working for an agricultural engineering works who specalised in repairing "older" tractors!

at the time i winged a bucketfull about not getting my hands on the more newer stuff, but now, i look back and consider myself very lucky to have worked on them!! the list includes- allis chalmers d270, fergie tea, ted and tef20, mf 35 and mf35x, mf65, mf 135, mf 130, mf 165, mf 175 and mf 185,

  • Thanks for the nice comments, really glad you enjoyed it. As a young engineer I too often moaned to my old boss about the work he gave me, Now!, looking back I had been given a very broad based training, which has stood me in good stead.

You can't put an old head on young shoulders as they say. Thanks for watching.

  • Top Class Posting 5*

  • Thank you ! I enjoyed making this one, shame there was a lot of wind noise on this particular day, otherwise I was quite chuffed with the results...

  • Those belt drives and open PTOs, isn't it lucky there was no Health and Safety in those days -- people would have starved!

  • Wish it was still like that today, damn health and safety.

The net result will be more accidents in the future because no one will ever learn about danger !!!

  • Excellant Video Paul, Well presented and, i enjoyed watching the old Equipment. 5*

  • Whilst I don't fully understand all the finer details of these magnificent machines Paul, you produce videos that are so well made and informative without captions, that I can sit back and thoroughly enjoy the experience, and finally what an ideal location for that event...5* Bob

  • Thank you Bob, very kind of you to say. I love all things mechanical, and yet I don't fully understand myself sometimes.

I think if you have steady clear shots with sound your half way there. These locations are ideal for the big caterpillar type machines, its the only time they can stretch their legs so to speak. Taking advice from the master ie, you I try to tell a story with a beginning a middle and an end. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching and rating Bob.

  • The pleasure is all mine Paul...keep up the great work...Bob

  • these guys are really into there tractors and look well maintained.btw weather looked spot on.

  • Yes they certainly do look very good, especially all those that have been fully restored. It was a very nice field quite flat and level compared to the last show I went too. You get to capture some great footage. Weather was superb although a tad windy, played havoc with the filming.. ha ha

  • very beautiful models you have filmed; clapping!

they are all nice but my favourites are that blue with long nose and big wheels and Bloms of Askham North Notts very well decored :-)

  • Thank you! That Tractor you like is a "Doe" and they are very expensive approx. 50.000 Euro, and the other vehicle is a Traction Engine or Showman's Engine....
