Perhaps we all need to learn some primitive skills. I have fear for what is coming; however, if it forces us to become self sufficient, there might a silver lining to this coming crisis.

Christmas Time is time to be on guard and worry a little in this current

enviornment.

It's the time when back room deals are done when no one is watching. Last year 2 days after Xmas Israel launched and offensive against the Palestians killing thousands. There are 300,000 Palesitians in the US and home grown terrorism is very possible, especially when families are killed abroad.

Also, I would bow to a Fireman, a Nurse or Volunteers etc.. but never to a Cop.

not that much. The father of a good friend of mine was doctor in Romania during the hyperinflation between 1990-93. He worked often also for free. However if you had a bigger a request you had to bring a chicken/petrol etc. That´s why I think that they won´t stop working but WE need to give them something. But, I believe that policemen and women are usually not the bad people many believe! It is just that their job brings daily safety issues with it. Dealing with drug addicts and criminals.

They put their lifes at risk every day. So going there and saying: "Good morning, I wanted to do something unusual this Christmas - Many of us would be feared to do so but someone has to make the first step" Of course the worst could happen -but we should not fear

Here in the US the reported news is all GOOD. The stoock market is UP. The dollar is UP. If people are constantly bombarded with this perception - it will be reality. The majority of the US does what the media/gov tells it to do. Very few are actually aware of the problems with the fundamentals of this economy. So can the perception actually be the reality? I thought for sure 2009 would be a disaster, and yet it looks good on paper. When will the reality over take the perception?
