Was lucky to see most of their Melbourne shows during this tour - they recorded a live album (One night Stand) in Oz as well - and embarrassed me by putting a holiday snap of Cyril and me on the back cover....hmmmmm - one night stand was a meal at Totos in Carlton and a lot of heart to heart late night chats...
Killing a moth in Sigh-Rill's living/dying /waiting room (the throw rug near the front of his broken sofa is or was worn to a do-nut hole in the cente! Then he replaced it recently with a Mickey mouse rug (famiky heirloom finally put to practical use).
My poinyt is, tho both his parents are gone, I brought him his beloved feline Winky who now esides here and gives Cyril much LUV
I live in the garage apt.where CJ self taught the art of Gee-tar!
Hey Mickey101, for your info, Jack was shortish, but totally HOT-- girls flocked his way, I remember one of his erstwhile girlfriend crying over him. A+ guitar player back in SF days...
hey this is pretty cool. Can you name the lineup in the band?? I once had a dubious"greatest hits" groovies CD-that when I first heard it I thought was a groovies cover band. later found out they recorded it on that mid 80s tour. Didn,t get to see them on that tour -my brother did from memory. great to see this stuff surfacing. Groovies movie?? awsome
can't say thank you enough for this video. I'n one of cyril's biggest fans, but have never seen this. got to see this live in S.F. in about 82, before they did their last australian tour. great memories

Some of you, such as thi[ose in the Third Bardo - are without a doubt 5 years of their time.
By the grace of (he ah-mightee Lawd, I happen toi think anf feel that I'm 800,000 years ahead of MY time.
Yes, the 5th dimension being greater than the 4th, and I've reached it's pinpoint center.
The music of the Flamin Groovies, and Cyrtil's astounding new band MAGIC CHRISTIAN P-Kopf and Ed Munoz from Plimsouls is a super duper grouper.

Was the CD an Australian recording called "One Night stand"?

This song was on the Australian release - "Step Up" (AIM, 1991) and was then remixed for "Rock Juice" (National) in 1992.
The version here is probably the Step Up one.

ever the gentleman, he gave up his seat.
and to this day Cyril prefers driving to gigs, e.g. Seattle a few days ago, where a great time was had by all.
