Killzone PS2 gameplay

i have finished the main campaign roughly twice with every character. so thats like about 8 times. best game i own for ps2

if u noticed in F.E.A.R. the same people know as the Helghast are it said game F.E.A.R. atho they have different emotions they never talk only in firefights and they are really dull no realy atrobuts they just run around in Killzone they are way better they go in cover and have Human like emotions so i like this game more than F.E.A.R. and any other games so all Killzones have my vote

@dathip i think it much better actually. Outside of blacks flashy graphics came nothing more than stale controls, bad hit detection, and a super short campaign.

i wish they had secondary fire for the guns in Killzone3 and being able to change players in story mode was cool in the first Killzone

Killzone must be one of the most overhyped games ever: very mediocre graphics, inaccurate controls, extremely linear, all events feel scripted. At the end your actions don't matter, everything happens anyway, at the exact same time.

Oh, and your character is unable to jump over the smallest obstacle.

The enemies are very dull, they almost never talk. They don't make jokes, they feel very "unreal" and "unhuman". From every point-of-view this game sucks!

@Keybern you are aware that this is only a ps2 game yes? you cant expect the graphics to be top quality on a ps2..they were good graphics at that time..and "at the end your actions dont matter everything happens anyway" just like every other game at the time..for example the grand theft auto games..no matter what you do in them they will always end the same..and "the enemies are very dull" what do you expect? do you think they had perfected AI back then?

@jaikty you definitely underestimate(d) the power of the ps2. There are some real gems on the ps2 (yes, even FPS) but Killzone is just not one of them.

Luckily you're not a game developer, you would probably just keep whining about the limitations of the platform without trying to invent some creative work-arounds.

I found this game pretty underwhelming. I thought it was going to have an epic story like Red Faction as well as gun play like black. It's not really either, and it lags a LOT on the playstation hardware-- whereas better looking games like black didn't. That's just my opinion. I've never played the newer Killzones.

@RageFace9 I totally agree. PS2 shooters just had more identity, and more to distinguish them from each other. Load up Turok, Red Faction, Cold Winter, Medal of Honor Frontline, Timesplitters, Killzone, or Black, and they are all different. These days it's just hundreds of generic samey modern warfare shooter clones. I love PS2 shooters and still play them. I prefer Killzone 1 to its sequels as well, BTW. KZ2 and 3 catered too much to the Modenr Warfare crowd, for my liking

i love the reload on the standard assault rifle. it alternates between just flipping the dual mag over and getting a completely new mag out. pay attention and you will see what i mean. :)

@MrGuiga34 uuhh, no it doesn't. it's the trademark controller of the playstation and has been used since the ps1. there's nothing wrong with it at all, and if you think so, your hands have probably just grown in wrong ways

The Dual Shocks are indeed the best controllers ever conceived,ergonomic and so comfortable with sticks and buttons logically placed in symmetric position,well proportioned to medium size hands and the rumble solicitations produced by their solenoids are the most efficient and realistic that one can ever feel. They are also stylish and are the only ones that won a lot of awards for the best working and looking. :)

@kenbreaker1 I have all of those. Cold Winter, Timesplitters FP, RF2, and Killzone are all great shooters of that generation. Considerably better than today's FPS's in my opinion.
