when I was on a Disney Cruise Wonder last week, they performed "Prince Ali" I loved it! Got few shots! But couldn't film it. ^_^ Camera chip is freaking small. Hehe. How many doubles are used? I'm guessing that the understudies of Aladdin and Jasmine do the aerial stunts. I'm guessing the story-teller at the beginning is also Jasmine's father, and the camel puppeteer is also the puppeteer for Iago.

Are there plans on replacing this show? It's been running for 4 years now. Lion King has been running for 10 years, but in different cities all over the world.

This show is roughly 45 minutes long. I realize that this show takes place at California Adventure, and there are a lot of kids and even babies there. However, I think if a little one is crying for more than 10 minutes they must be very uncomfortable, maybe with a soiled diaper and should be taken out of the theater to take a break and or get cleaned up. Its not fair to force an audience of up to 2000 people endure 45 minutes of wailing. Babies should be attended to and not treated like baggage

Iago in the movie is voiced by Gilbert Gottfried. The stage Iago sounds like Wallace Shawn. This show is performed several times a day, 7 days a week. Two complete casts and crews are needed to keep up that schedule.

I think all the voices are live other than maybe the giant head. There is one point to the live, not-live thing though. Stage shows have been cutting costs by having live actors perform to recorded sound tracks instead of having live musicians. That has resulted in a lot of musicians crying FOUL. The musicians do have a valid argument.

I'm not really that impressed with any of their singing voices....none of them. I think they could have casted the whole cast a little better....for example, Get a tenor to play Aladdin, not a baritone. Or get a baritone to play the genie, not a tenor. It's a great show although, very creative....Aladdin is my fav. movie, it's a interesting view on the movie.

You need to bear in mind that the audience for a theme park is not necessarily the same audience that goes to a Broadway show. Very few people will travel to a theme park JUST for a show.

The genie, like, steals the show. Everything that comes out of his mouth is so hilarious. When he was insulting Jafar is the icing on the cake. "You're so mean that when you're on Myspace, even Tom won't be your friend." That's my favorite line. Aladdin is awesome.

I love how the Genie tells Aladdin "You're like all the rest" after the freedom wish refusal. It's a clever twist on how Aladdin's a special "diamond in the rough". (I assume it's intentional cause the Genie takes a pretty long pause after saying it)
