My choir just did this song today, and last night. I like it so much. We actually have to soloists, our choir master and another woman. They do the chorus together, then the whole choir does it. Then the versus go 1-choir master (the chorus) 2-woman (the chorus) 3-all of choir and it builds so much there. Then we all(choir) do the chorus, and the two soloists sing the chorus on last time.

I've always enjoyed this song. And 'Let Christ Be Lifted Up", and "Hallelujah Chorus". I just like Easter :)

The way my choir does it is we're in unison for all the verses (congregation comes in with chorus) and on that last verse of "a single flame..." it's kind of quiet, then a little louder on "a flicker of hope" and then crescendo on "spreads like a sea of fire"...then on "open the door!" and on we're fortissimo. Gets me EVERY time. lol
