  • LOL, Hell with TWRA, KIll the bastards. The Rattlers and the Copperheads will put a hurtin on ya if you got bit. One comment here said to call TWRA,and have them relocated....LOL,what a joke, Maybe you can call them after you got bit,and ask them if they will pay the hospital bill....

  • smar target...LOL

  • The XLT Spectrum is a awesome machine. I used one hunting the Vicksburg area for years and made finds that'd blow your socks off. After you get good enough, you don't even need a pinpointer. As for snakes, well they don't get much bigger than down there around North Vicksburg, copperheads as fat as the end of a baseball bats. Unfortunately its a part of relic hunting. You go where no one else wants too and you'll hit payday.

  • Nice hunting... Too many negative vibes posted here... Remember: it is't a hole if you fill it. Nature will take care of the rest... If it is the snake or me, bye bye Mr. Snake. Happy hunting man.

  • Great video!

  • No offense......but you do know that there are ways to dig up artifacts without making such a mess of the ground, right? Careless digging like that is why authorities crack down on or refuse to allow metal detecting in certain areas. You really should be more careful for your sake and the sake of others that love the hobby.

  • got any good coin programs?

  • I live in Millington,Tn-out about two miles from the Naval base.We are buying a metal detector because of the fields and woods, but we have alot of mean ass watersnakes and copperheads.

I bet I'll break at least 5 shovels killing snakes!

Good seeing metal detecting videos from Tn,man!

  • @arn0ldaar0n It is illegal to kill snakes in Tennessee. FYI. If you have a problem with a snake call the TWRA or a local park employee and they will relocate the snake responsibly. Better yet you may choose to stay out of the snake's territory then you won't have to worry about it biting you.

  • @childsfamilyvideos I live in TN and it's not about YOU coming into their territory. They come into yours on their own. I'm not afraid of snakes but I'm not about to call some stupid agency to take a snake away. I live around the woods and if I ever saw a poisonous one near my house I'd chase it away or kill it . You don't take those risks with yourself, even more with kids around. Fortunately, I don't live around venomous snakes.

  • @nostalgicmind0308 Last I checked snakes have been here a little longer than we have. I'd say that gives them territorial priority. They were here first. And they are far more vital to our ecosystem than humans are. Give some respect.

  • @childsfamilyvideos I love nature and all wild life. But it doesn't take away the fact that human's are and always will be above animal's. We are not an animal and never have been. I do not believe in the evolution of man. You speak of respect, you need to give respect to humanity. Respect nature and the wild life, but also respect humanity and be true to it.

  • @childsfamilyvideos Were you from i live in TN and ive had water macusins come up in the yard were my kids play as big 4inch round .and my kids come before any snake.i dont go out of my way to go kill snakes but there not moveing in with me ether

  • can you find any civil war stuff in alabama

  • Yes. Especially along the coast.

  • Yes, but not as much in places like TN or VA. They are there though

  • Ft Blakely and Spanish FT near Mobile, and downtown Mobile too and right across the border into Mississippi

  • Nice video & finds

  • That was the Darling's playing Dueley on the Andy Griffith show. I would bet money on it.

  • Was that "The Darlings" playin in the video intro and finish?

  • nice finds, I just got a garrett ace 250 and Im itchin to get out and look, but I have to wait till winter is over :(

  • great vid love the music

  • work with a pinpointer I see as useless, coin of the metal detector must be enough

  • pinpointer saves a lot of time. i've used 1 for years and it really helps when using a 10" coil.

  • I bought Whites pinpointer and next day sold it off, take fistfull of soil and put it near the soil must be enough, better instead of the pinpointer a concealed gun

  • Pinpointers save a lot of time, they're there for a reason, coils won't fit a small hole, not will it fit to check the sides of the hole. And as you can see there you can locate the target on the scooped dirt, the flap (if any), or inside the hole, if you don't like one, fine, don't use it. it's your loss not mine, but it DOES save time. BTW it's ''coil'' not "coin". ;)

I would recommend a Sunray Probe, I use the X-1 on my Explorer 2 and it's the best accessory you can buy!

  • everyone as per his taste, after digging I take soil part by part in the hand and put near a coil = that's my way,, sorry for the typing error

  • Old school style. =D

Yeah it's pretty much a matter of taste, they have helped me a lot, specially the X-1, it can go about 3" deep, so I've found some silver coins in small patches that even a 5" coil wouldn't fit.

  • If the item you are digging is still in the hole the pinpointer is an EXCELLENT way to find it quicker. I own one and it saves time. You ought to try it- especially when you are unable to use the coil in confined areas such as under brush & under tree roots where you cant get the coil precisely over the object. There are many other reasons to -these are just a few.

  • I dislike drag any needless items with. Just "rod", shovel, cell phone and a (handgun instead of pinpointer)

  • enjoy your pinpointer, BTW why 4x the same respond, the same typing error as mine

  • I don't know why it registered 4, but what typing error?

  • Great Video! really enjoyed your finds and your comments.Keep up the good work.

  • haha...you buried that junk in your yard and dug it up again

  • That is pretty cool.

  • Hey! You're getting better every time. Don't you guys down south wish you could dig our northern state indian pennies and barber dimes?..hahaha! Awesome finds! Man I wish I lived down south! Keep doing these great videos!
