Thorogood opened and blew the clouds away. He was out there playing in the rain, a great performance. Journey followed with their sing song act and got booed off the stage. No way they finished their set. Bill Graham himself was out there drying the stage with a towel before the Stones came on. Great show.
@MrDronzewski, I stand corrected on the opening act order BUT I was NOT WRONG on the FACT that Journey DID GET BOOED OFF THE STAGE (due in no small part to their anemic showing following Throrogood's performance) I was in the center floor section about 75 ft from the stage & all I could hear by the 4th song or so was the steady drone of boos coming from the crowd surrounding me. I also remember that crazy dude that clambered out on the guy wire from the upper tier seat section Totally Surreal..
I was also at this show. It was nice early in the morning, there was good frisbee at the back half of the stadium before it got too full. Then it started to rain. Thorogood came out first wearing a clear raincoat *while plugged into the giant PA system". He played a rockin' set. As his set was ending, the sun started to come out so he kept coming out for encores. After he was done, we all napped during Journey. Journey was not boo-ed off the stage, but the crowd was quiet.

I was there, George Thorogood did open the show and kicked ass. Journey followed, played 4 or 5 songs and was booed off of the stage. They never should have had them follow Thorogood. Some nut was on the wire that held the netting for the field goals for Bills games during Journey.
Dude, you must of been really fucked up, because it was George Thorogood that opened the show and Journey didn't get booed off the stage. Great fucking show!
Journey was the opener and got booed off the stage.
They ditched that tour shortly thereafter.
George Thorogood & The Delaware Destroyers followed Journey and KICKED ASS. As George had promised us @the beginning of their set, they literally blew the rain & clouds away to the crowds utter delight.
Sky was the deepest Azure blue by the time the Stones took to the stage..
