Y did they think this sort of game would be better in the third person perspective? I'm constantly fighting a bit with the controls because the character isn't even centered in the screen so if u point the camera at the point u want to reach and press forward ur not gonna get there. I bet the main (stupid) reason for third person is to show of the flashlight beam effects.

Does anyone else get ridiculously pissed off by the fact that they give you 12 revolver rounds at a time when they throw one big guy that takes 6 shots to kill accompanied by 4 others who take 3 each? Also not giving any melee abilities followed with him sprinting like a 5 year old. Once you're out of ammo you're fucked. This game is scary as shit but it's retarded.

@OpForza I can only speak for myself, and im only 25 mins into the game. And i have to say: these 25mins of the game has been more scary then anything ive watched in a movie! Sure when i watched "The Ring" on cinema that was scary as hell.

I play this game with surrond headset in the evening and with a 24 screen on my PC and its a very nice experience if you like the genre. I would recommend buying the game. Thats my opinion :)

I think the point of an open ending is sometimes to leave room for a sequel . I'm convinced that's the case for this game . If they gave a full ending at the end of the first Lord Of The Rings movie then there would've never been a 2nd and 3rd one . That doesn't mean the story isn't good .

I don't know if you've read recent news about the PS3. But because they released too much exclusives some of the games didn't sell as well. So they decided to release few exclusive just like Microsoft. All you need is at least three solid exclusive per year and the rest of your purchase should be thrid party titles. As for the pc and Xbox games you mentioned like Halo CE and Gears 1...you need to realise that their superior sequel are exclusive on Xbox.

Alan Wake does not have a weak ending. It ends on a tone that comes fitting with a horror or thriller story, which it is. The story is so well thought out too. It's presented in a simple way, but has tons of depth that isn't quite obvious at first glance. The way Wake and Zane's writing intertwine is complicated and has no real explanation. The manuscript pages provide insight into other characters' minds. All in all, Alan Wake has one of the best stories to ever come to gaming.

To me, this game is similar to Heavy Rain on Ps3 and Shattered Memories on Wii. Of course they are very different in terms of gameplay but all 3 are heavily story-based and have thrilling moments.

It would be awesome with the kinect sensor cowering around corners till you approach a dark creature. Alan wake 2 should be controller and kinect compatible.
