@talesfan137 Well, I haven't played this game in several years, but if I recall correctly, you had to open the menu and hold square while pushing up or down to zoom.

I can't be 100% sure if that was it exactly, or if that was for another Tales of game, but I'm pretty sure you had to do something like that when the menu was open or it was paused.

@adikkuchan Yeah, now that you mention it, I think that's how it is for most Team Destiny games, I was playing Graces ƒ last night, and that's how you zoom the camera in that game too.

I guess you can tell it's been a loooong time since I played a Team Symphonia game. :P

which playthrough was this for u and what level were you when u did this fight?

i u used common tactics from people who do this fight so people don't have the right to say that ur not good. after all most people fight the same way.

i am doing my unknown playthrough now and i'm up2 the first visit to the absorption gate. it's been hell is some fights. XD the first boss battle took me almost 3 hours to finish, damn liger queen XD.

You probably got the undub version. Where di you get it from? Most torrent sites tell you it's an undub.

well, did you get the game used from somewhere? if so, the person before you probably downloaded a special torrent onto the game that replaces the original voice acting with japanese, but keeps the english text.

I actually do play the game. The costumes block what the person is truely is. I never let my characters wear costumes becasue it is annoying and not neat, it is also wierd to see a character fighting in a bathing suit.

Maybe because YOU (the player) are the clone of our beloved Asch... He is the real one, the real Luke, the one we play through the game is the clone. So it's the original that has much more HP than the clone.

You have to fight 250 battles on hard mode or above, then go speak to a person at the Batical Coliseum and they'll give you the costume title.

The best fightan strategy for 1on1 in TotA - Run around and wait for them to swing, and then hit back. Repeat. You can beat anything that way easily.

On a side note, once I find a new TV, I think I should start this game up again and try all of the sidequests. I was so engrossed in the sotry I didn't even notice I didn't do anything other than it.

Yeah, I'll admit that this is one of my worst battle videos, if not the worst.

This was only my second attempt (I got killed the first time), plus I was in a hurry to get it recorded as quickly as possible, because I wanted to finish off my TotA playthrough before 10/10/2006 (the ENG release date, I just barely made it), as a result of trying to rush it, I did pretty poorly.

Yeah Eternum123, this was only my 37th video, it was made less than a month after recording my first video game video.

Probably because Asch's last scenes are so popular.

My TotA videos seem to get the most attention for some reason, maybe because they have been up the longest, or because TotA is the most recent main series title released in the US.

But, I think my videos of the other games were much better.

1)Soul Crush for english, Won by beating the Coliseum's Advanced for 1 on 1 (All chars can do to get their respective weapon)

2) Swallow Fury (learned at lvl 53, Chain it with Fire FOF for better results :D)

Yeah, I don't see the Japanese being much better than the English. I'll bet it's because Tear doesn't have that weak high pitched girl voice... LOL. But all-in-all they both have ups in downs. I did not like how Lule and Asch's voice sounded completely different in the Japanese.

It's the "original" format. Same with the whole "I heard it first therefore I associate that voice with this character"-thing...I've seen some disney movies in Japanese and I thought the voices were better, probably for the same reason.

Many people don't realize that Japan has just as many "Bad voice actors" as the U.S. does.

Is this your first playthrough or something? I don't want to make fun of your battle skills, but besides that, you seem to have low HP and you should have 9999 around your 2nd-3rd playthrough.

I haven't really gotten into my second playthrough yet (got past the first boss, before decided to do my second playthrough later, as I was too busy with other games).

I want to atleast finish ToR and ToD2 before I get started on my second playtrough again.

What you should have done however (Not to say you're bad or anything, you did well), is attempt to block instead of the continuous running and using Rending Blade to catch Asche off Guard after your initial combo

I also played on Hard mode, level 65, what level are you? Also, you might want to consider the combination X,X,X->Rending Blade->Light Spear Cannon instead of X,X,X->Rending Blade-> Swallow Fury. That one seems to put him off balance more. That's just my opinion, though.

duh he had to use that much stuff. look at him. 2 attacks takes out a third of his health. hes too weak to not use a lot of items.

A better combo that would have thrown Asch off guard more is X,X,X->Rending Blade->Light Spear Cannon instead of X,X,X->Rending Blade->Swallow Fury. Just my opinion, though.

in this cast hes playing hard mode so his enemy's stats are raised and he isnt tat high of an lvl if he were to get caught in Asch's (mystic art/players or boss's special like how luke was screaming out with forces around him that's luke's mystic art ) it would be an instant death for him

Exactly. Rending Saber for someone around level 65=insta-death. >_> That's why you want to throw him off guard as much as possible before executing Radiant Howl, or else Asch will counter with Rending Saber, and you die. XD;

You could also just use an All Divide. It'd take longer, but you'd win much more easily.
