well, it suits the plaintive sound that the bass has when it plays solo, which sound is why, except for this piece, i dont like the sound of a solo bass . . . .
will somebody hold the bowl while i slit my wrists . . . . . . . . (which is why i never saw the movie schindler's list. I knew I could not take it)
how could those five people not like this either they were just trolling or there was the sound of a million cats attaching a walrus weilding a chainsaw in the background
Thank you Bozo, will definitely try to come with my family to one of your concerts early next year in Germany. Our little daughter learns double bass :-)
the theme from Schindler's list is the one piece of music that best convicts me of how much we have received from God and how much we can give, while others did not have this opportunity because of their being Jewish... Thank you Bozo
I've been listening to different versions all night. The double bass seems to be what this music requires. Kudos to Bozo Paradzik (I know, 'kudos' may be a little overly familiar to someone with his talent) for drawing the heart and voice from this music. Even if you didn't know what Schindler's List was about, you'd feel the emotion coming from deep, deep inside...a place within ourselves that we can pinpoint, but is at our very core. Thanks.
@2ndWindSD I absolutely agree with you. I just sounds so more emotional when played with a bass. It simply has the power to touch one's heart string that way.
Hi guys, I may have a very interesting question and I hope that somebody can answer it for me: I keep wondering all the time which composer was the first one that had written a piece of music where the double bass (section) is ought to play a different melody than the cello (section). And what piece of music that was.
I would be curious about your answeres. Thanks and cheers ;)
Dear Bozo, I'm one of many Brazilian bassists who admires his work, this interpretation was very beautiful, I wonder if there is a possibility of getting the score of this piece in PDF (piano and bass), if my email: enoquebass@hotmail.com, big hug!
ein furchtbarer film !! wenn ich an all die nazi-verbrecher und menschenquäler denke DIE OHNE STRAFE DAVONKAMEN erfaßt mich eine furchtbare vernichtende wut.
I just can't stop listening to this. This is soo amazing. Beautiful sound, very impressive. Like you have some sorrows and you don't find words to express your feelings so you grab your bass and then just speak out loud.
"High C" string you can order just anywhere, it is standard string though less frequently vended. G, D, A are just normal "orchestral strings, here they are no more No 1,2,3, but No 2,3,4
honestly one of the most beautifull things ive heard. now only for me to do it on bass clarinet. send me a PM if youd want that. im already gonna do it but just to post on youtube.
@bozoparadzikcom like the cello tunning :) but why do you call it "standard" ? standard isn.t A-E-B-F# ?! there probably are many standards...doesn.t matter, what matters is this playing, SPLENDID !
BASS in your FACE! it sounds awesome.

@FilmComposeRaHoppe I'd say Beethoven's 6th simphony, mostly because of Beethoven's friendship with Domenico Dragonetti.

I've only seen soloists tune their basses to F# B E A.
I'm sorry, I've just picked up this instrument last year. ^^
