  • One thing no one has mentioned is a maglite is actually 50 percent batton when used for home security or work. So its odd to think such a huge torch is half as bright but its heft is merely there for the users safety not to try and make pure sun beams. Try hitting an intruder with a aaa torch and see what happens he he

  • @camillionmonkey true. but also another thing no one else has mentioned, a small AND LIGHT aaa torch won't weigh you down, and help you run away from intruders faster! check out my Maglite 4D LED vs Fenix E20. cheers!

  • @kagubatan7 maybe you are the intruder and need the stealth lol. Unfortunately they dont pay so well in security jobs if you keep running off. Iv got one of those big flat 50w 34v leds running on my electric bikes pack so I might try and cram this into a maglite type shell sometime. only gets 50 mins runtime on nine small lithium cells but its brighter than car headlights. Diy all the way for me as i like to save some cash. My £20 light blows away £200 quid hope lamps. ok his do look x5 neater

  • @camillionmonkey to be fair forget hitting the dude when you can blind them and then kick them in the balls when they can't see shit :D

  • @camillionmonkey If I'm looking for an intruder I will have my Glock in my other hand so I'm not too worried about hitting him with my flashlight.

  • Thats a good focus on the little one 6 out of 6

  • What the hell is Maglite thinking? Definitely last century's flashlight.

  • Nice comparison anyone know if the Led Lenser p7 has that sharp focus as the p3 in this vid at the same distance? thanks

  • @SoundOut260 got both of them. They got different focus beam, the P3 has a sharper focus and they got a different lens design. There is one similar sharp focus beam to P3 if am not mistaken is the T7 tactical or police led lenser 8240.

  • @ruel68ify thanks for your repley cant make my mind up yet which one to get yet lol cheers.!

  • Wow, led lenser kicks butt! Kinda wish maglite will put out some high output led lights one day (200+ lumens). I know they're a good company, it's just time for an upgrade

  • Unscrew the head of the P3 and you will get a field microscope or an emergency fire lighter under the sun. Very, very, very powerful magnifying lens, try it out ! A P3 will always be in my pocket outdoors even during the day and if it becomes obsolete, at least its lens will be with me

  • @newhuskytwenty great survival tip! thanks!

  • @newhuskytwenty Is the P7 & T7 the same?

  • Just one thing more, the spot mode (lens forward) on the P3 is absurd, too narrow, absolutely dark around it and with a center with less britness than the flood mode (lens bachward). I have even glued the lens hoop to avoid its moving forward because the flood is perfect, wider and brighter, wounderful for a tiny 1AAA

  • @newhuskytwenty i noticed that too.

  • Thanks for the review. I'll be getting the P3 it's better than the maglite

  • @sufy1000 p3 is good for general use. the maglite can throw the beam a little further. i like the p3 small size for every day carry. it comes with a lanyard, pocket clip, and a nice pouch. it's not water resistant like the maglite though.
