@bandbairsoft857 The foam I used was a blue sleeping mat I got from walmart. I believed it was around 15 or so dollars. It comes in a roll around the sporting goods and camping section.
@ScreamingAirborne I am about 6'-6'1" The IBA is a medium and it fits very well. I suppose you could use it for a BHD ranger impression as getting a Ranger Body Armor, real or replica isn't the easiest thing to do. It is your call.
@sammy789987 It is a Specialty Defense Systems IBA, same company who makes the USGI MOLLE gear. I couldn't nab a Unicor or Point Blank IBA so I went for this instead, unfortunately I don't have any soft armor inserts, but this works just fine.
@Martzx3193 Don't feel bad. Specialty Defense Systems is actually a part of BAE systems, which has a contract with the Govt. I'm pretty sure the SDS OTV is just as real as a Point Blank or Unicor, Just lesser known.
My otv is almost complete, all i need is a IFAK, radio pouch, Groin Protector, and Yolk/Collar Neck. But im getting a USGI ACU Camelbak, USGI Sustainment ACU Pouch on a ACU MOLLE Rig (dump pouch), and a USGI ACU leg extender w/ ACU holster. Also Foliage ESS goggles, Helmet band (ACU). Along with a ACU recon wrap
Btw would you think that a PASGt NVG mount with the straps will work on the MICH only temporary cuz it comes with a rhino arm and only for 35 bucks. But i will get a MICH Mount later.
@HawaiianShooter I'm actually going to begin working on a marine ish kit, I'm going to start with the old '03-'04 look as I have the woodland OTV. What I am going to get when I switch to the CB OTV in the future is a CB IFAK, and Belleville 550 ST USMC issue boots. When it comes to the PASGT mount, I really do not know if the actual mount will fit across the front of the MICH, but I do know that the retention strap is compatible, the MICH has a slightly different bracket to hold the helmet.
Great vest and over all set up , it would be sweet if you went for the 2003 ,2004 Marine look with the desert Marpat underneath the woodland OTV. Keep up the good videos man! :) -John ~ Team Warhawk
@TeamWarhawk Thanks man, I plan on having two kits. An old Army OIF look pre-ACU and Marine '03-'04 setup, and other things, it is very versatile and once I get the collar assembly completed, it should look really cool.
@Calbrazil2007 If I sold it, it would be maybe 60 dollars, however. I do not think I can open an ebay account or sell things, it is a bit complicated. The size of it is an L3 and it is way to big for me. It also has an upgraded pad and chin strap over the original.
also a throat protector would look good to
