@Antioxidantt Nope Karate, Teakwondo, Ninjitsu, Kung Fu, isn't allowed in mma because of joint manipulation but mauy thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, Jujitsu, Wrestling, and Brazilian Jujitsu is.
@1kevin09 its not that theyre not allowed theres just certain things you cant do like gouge peoples eyes or kick em in the nuts but just a couple weeks ago i saw a karateka knock someone out in the ufc with a head kick so thats bs any style is allowed as long as you dont violate the rules
@1kevin09 i dont know about that but it doesnt really matter ive never heard of any martial artist fighting full contact building a fight game around ridgehand strikes the reason those arts are popular is theyre very practical but mma is open to any interpretation as long as you can actually fight
@1kevin09 Bah, bullshit, in competition Karate, Kung Fu and TKD there are no joint manipulation... The styles of MA's should work without those stuff. Lyoto could use a lot of his Karate in MMA and upset many. About Ninjutsu... it's less effective at all.

people who comment about which style is better are clueless. A Karate fighter who fights a MMA fighter under MMA rules would most probably lose, just like a MMA fighter fighting a Karate fighter under Knockdown Karate rules would most probably lose too. You are good in what you train. And if it comes to a fight in the street with no rules it will depend on the person not on the martial art they train in. You don't fight like in competition in the streets.
the best part of this video the thread of comments... they are some the most entertaining things i have ever read and i read a lot... good job guys keep it up... and those who know nothing about martial arts just keep on being a keyboard warrior and pissing these guy off...
MMA would be nothing without martial arts because MMA is martial arts mixed together.. common sense people!! Wats MMA stand for = Mixed, Martial, Arts. Okay now lets say it together but slower. LMFAO!!!!! for all those people that say kung fu, karate is worthless...
@0:18 They can't possibly call that punching. Even if it's a kids' class, you gotta teach them to do it right and with sufficient effort, otherwise you're teaching them to sham.
MMA is a compilation of the most effective techniques that were around for thousands of years. IF I took the 10 greatest book of all time and took out only the best shit of each book, of course it would be awesome because im stealing shit from someone else... show respect where it is due, fanboys wouldnt have mma if martial arts didnt have techniques for them to steal from.
@throathammer1 steal? they were stolen were they? last time i checked u cant steal teaching u fuckin idiot... they didnt steal them they were trained in these techniques by people that they paid money to... and by the way we wouldnt have ANYTHING if it wasnt "stolen" from the people who were around before us dont be jealous cuz whatever shit partial art u studied all ur life turned out to be a crock of shit when u got ur ass kicked by sum black guy in an alley
personal attacks, name calling, jealousy, masculinity issues and feelings of powerlessness represented by your black guy fantasies. I think you have been wounded by someone close to you and you harbor repressed homosexual urges because your father wasnt there for you as a child. enjoy being spiritually crippled through your journey; try not to hate too much it will anchor you here after your body expires.
@throathammer1 where did u come up with the jealousy part and the masculinity issues bit? did u even read my comment?.. and whats with the homosexual talk? i didnt bring that up so it must be ur problem if u felt the need mention it.. nice comeback by the way... by not responding to my comment at all it really shows the problem you have with simple conversation...so u attack the idea of my comment instead.. smooth move it really makes u seem like u have a mental handicap
@throathammer1 MMA can be pretty much ANY compilation of martial arts, but sport MMA is to make the opponent tap out, not kill them. The best MMA is used by the Military.
@throathammer1 MMA has been around long before 90% of these martial arts even existed... it just wasnt called MMA.. it was called Pankration which was used over 640 years BC.
@SuperMadklown judo came first about 300 years before pankration, samurai existed, and in the event they lost their sword they'd use it to take on armored opponents which punches and kicks would do no good, granted there is alot of cross over but judo is more scientific and the result is more force from less effort, ive been trained by both judo black belts and wrestler of 25 years and akido black belt lol
@psychick99 yeah, thats so you can practice the movements when you do grab the arm, it also takes more than 7 FUCKING MONTHS TO FIGURE THIS OUT!! maybe your teacher sucked idk but mine would show me the moves 3 times slow then attack me and its up to me to react properly, i usually get 1 after a few weeks of intense practice alone, going over in my mind every move he made, then i get close to what he's talking about!
@psychick99 clearly u've never been in a fight where someone throws a haymaker, OR you sat there thinking and took the punch like many white belts ive seen trying to be jackie chan, too much thinking and you get killed, you let your body simply REACT with the moves you've practiced and you'll live, at my dojo we never trained for sport, we trained to survive
@chatanwarrior Are you mentally retarded?.... Judo was created around 1882 AD. Jujitsu (which is where Judo came from) was created around the 1720's.. Pankration has been around BEFORE 640BC... thats over 2200 years BEFORE judo.... not after. get your facts straight before you comment about shit that you dont know and make a fool of yourself. Pankcration is older then any japanese martial art.
@chatanwarrior You have just proven that you are a fucking IDIOT MORON... first off, Judo came from Jujitsu... go look up the history of judo u dumbass. Jujitsu was first. Judo was created by Jigoro kano, who learned Jujitsu. Pankration was over 640 BC.... BEFORE CHRIST.... BEFORE judo and Jujitsu.. BEFORE the samurai... your probably 12 years old and havnt learned history yet, if you older the 12 then your a DUMBASS and need to go back to school and learn history.
@chatanwarrior Te Samurai Created Jujitsu... NOT Judo.... Judo was created by Jigoro Kano, who learned Jujitsu. Before it was called Judo it was called "Jigoro Jujitsu" Thats the name it had wen it made its way to Brazil... then the gracies took it and renames in "Gracie Jiujitsu" Jujitsu>Judo>Gracie Jiujitsu. dumbass
@SuperMadklown ...really? fool i see what you are now, you're just another MMA fanboy, gracie jiu-jitsu isn't a style, its a brand like mcdonald's really. gracie teaches BRAZILLIAN jiu-jitsu
@chatanwarrior No they don't...the Gracie's weren't the only iu-Jitsu in Brazil at the time. The Japanese were trying to colonize, and Maeda was only one of the Jiu-Jitsu instructors who migrated there. There are many other jiu-jitsu styles that evolved in Brazil to make "Brazilian" iiu-Jitsu, of which the Gracie's a re no doubt a large part of...but the style of Jiu-Jitsu is fundamentally different from most others, even in Brazil.
@Paytience3721 that's what i said, o.o the gracie's weren't doing jiu-jistu until after the japanese came over, jiu-jitsu came after judo, what superklown is thinking of is sport judo, but its much older than that, wrestling fan boys like to think pankration is the oldest form of martial arts but its not
@chatanwarrior once again you fail. every comment you fail... learn your facts before you speak you dumbass.... gracie JIujitsu IS brazilian jiujijtsu. The gracies call it gracie jiujitsu because the claim it to be theirs... Though actual Gracie jiujitsu has a Self Defense portion to it. Whre as BRAZILIAN Jiujitsu is pure sport.... Learn your shit dumbass... an m NOT a MMA fanboy. i dont even Watch MMA... I hav Practiced Brazilian Jiujitsu nd judo for over 10 years. so i know.
@SuperMadklown you have to be the dumbest person alive! brazillian jiu-jitsu like JIU-JITSU AND ALL FUCKING MARTIAL ARTS are self defense based! only a fucking MMA fanboy believes what your saying to be truth, its all self defense, gracie jiu-jitsu is a fucking franchise mc-dojo like fucking mcdonalds sells hamburgers and so does burger king, there's only slight differences in approaches based on the cook or sensei
next time pick up a history book before you comment about anything
@chatanwarrior Your sooo stpid... the ONLY difference n Gracie and Brazilian jiujitsu. is Gracie Jujitsu curriculum teaces actual STREET self defense, where ass Brazilian jiujitsu does NOT.. it teaches TOURNIMENT sport fighting.... if you say other wise then you OBVIOUSLY have never trained in both... go look it up on google you stupid fuck.. your soo fucking RETARDEDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@SuperMadklown Brazilian Jujitsu....is not actually Jujitsu... Jujitsu is a Japanese martial art, and "Brazilian Jujitsu" is an entirely different fighting style than what is more commonly known as Judo. Which one are you talking about?
@chatanwarrior I have Trained with Rickson Gracie, Pedro Sauer, and Anibol Lobo. All who teach REAL Gracie Jiujitsu, i have also trained with many BRAZILAN Jiujitsu players. it is EXACTLY the same Except gracie schools teach street defense, a brazilian jiujitsu does NOT. i knw this 100% for a fact.. your dumb retarded 10 year old ass who has never trained a day in his life can say whatever he wants... but yu are WRONG, you are a ignorant MORON.
@SuperMadklown fact huh? proof of how stupid you are, im 25 and a 2nd degree black belt and i also study under a 25 year wrestling veteran/10 year judo black belt, 4 soldiers trained in marine martial arts, aikido instructor, tai chi black belt and jiu-jitsu black belt, MY SENSEI air force, and MASTER black belt, we are shohei-ryu style BUT the black belts in our dojo share knowledge with others their knowledge and history of their styles so all together i have 100 years of knowledge in my head
@chatanwarrior You know how i know that your liar?... cause your dont even know the history of judo or any of those martial arts.. your a idiot kid. and "soldier" would not train in Marine martial arts.... I am a soldier, you stupid fuck. Jesus you get more stupid with every comment you post.. it makes me laug at how stupid you are. hahahahahah i cant believe i actually found someone as stupid a you. it amazes me at how stupid some humans are. go back to school kid. your an idiot
@chatanwarrior Did you REALLY just say a marine is a Soldier? BAHHHHHHHHAHAHAAHAHA Your so fucking Stupid.... Marine = Marine... Army=Soldier. Airforce= Airman, Navy = Seaman.... Stupid fucking IDIOT.. a marine is NOTTTTT a soldier, you dumb REATRD. god you are SOOO fucking stupid.. just stop talking, you make yourself look like more a dumbass shitbag retard with each comment, you have NO IDEA what your talking about and it shows cause every comment you say i FALSE, you fail.
@datguy197 having six family members that are marines, yeh i know, but since supermadklown is a lying ass licker he wouldn't know that and dont need to waist my time explaining to him
@chatanwarrior Tai chi does not have a "black belt" once again youucking FAIL.. Kung u does not use BELTS they use Sashes, and the equivlent of a black belt in Kung fu would be a Red sash...... GOD YOUR SO FUCKING STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@SuperMadklown if you wanna be honest krav maga is oldest of all styles, it was used in old testament days, and it was already 500 year old martial arts used by david, and muay boran claims to be over 2000 years old as well, shaolin kung fu...even older, with more animal styles that were lost in a fire, before ever coming into contact with the greeks who would've traded martial arts styles
@chatanwarrior Once again you FAIL HARD. Krav maga was NOT in th old testament, Krav maga was not created until the 1920's. Muay Boran was created 1200 AD... thats AFTER DEATH.... NOT BC.... Kung fu was also created around 1200 AD...so Pankration beats Muay Boran an kung fu by over 1000 years... you are pulling all this info out of your ignorant ass. do some research you fucking idiot..go your a IGNORANT MORON!! Show me proof of krav maga in the old testament. iv read it, its not!
@SuperMadklown read the bible little boy, it was an already established form of military combat in the old testament! muay boran claims to be older than 2000 years old
by the way how does being an older system denote superiority?! most splits occur because of a new and most times more effective fighting system
@chatanwarrior I have read the bible dumbshit.. obviously you have not.. give me a verse in the bible that talks about Krav maga...I bet you dont, cause there is not one. stupid dumbass.
@SuperMadklown your right before you there was no such thing as martial arts, is that what you believe cause clearly it is, the bible doesnt go oh, david used krav maga, or joshua used krav maga cause he was an uber bad ass jew! its a fucking military martial art, all armies have them, even your fucking greeks did dipshit you are clearly a worthless dumb ass who has no knowledge whatsoever in history let alone martial arts history and even less about wtf the bible is
@chatanwarrior BAAAAAHAHAHA Your such a fucking MORON!!! omfg.... i dnt think i have ever talked to someone more stupid then you... you think just cause there was a fihting style in bliblical times that it was krav maga... BAHAHAHAAHAH Krav maga was not created unti recently you stupid fuck,... you also thought Judo came BEFORE Jujitsu... thats how RETARDED yoiu are... like seriously.. your as dumb as a fucking ROCK.. you dont know SHIT about mrtial arts. you are soooooooo stupid
@throathammer1 Yeah but if you took those parts of the book, it would make a mediocre piece of jumble jacks. Take a few parts of Lord of The Rings, Star Wars, The Stand, and Alice in Wonderland it wouldn't make a single lick of sense. If you read them each separately it would be a much better experience. In Martial Arts terms, I think organized "MMA" is kinda shotty in a lot of cases, compared to someone that legitimately cross trained in different arts. Just my opinion.
@throathammer1 why do u say steal?? i feel a lot of hostility from people when they talk about MMA, u should see how cool and nice Randy Couture and Liddell are
Can't compare the two...MMA is sport fighting, Karate is a Martial Art...A true Karateka would never be in a position to fight someone trained in MMA...One is for show and one is for self...but real Karate fight would last seconds not rounds...
@emsdude1 karate isnt for show u fool theres worldwide karate tournaments every year.... and if u cant compare the two how come lyoto machida is in the ufc?
the philosophy of those people in charge with running those karate, taekwondo what have you organizations just plain suck!! they kept to themselves exclusively. if not for k-1 and mma, the flaws in karate and tkd will never be exposed
Adrian Dobrzycki: We don't have grappling in karate, it's mostly a hitting sport, and grappling is a completely different kind of exercise and it makes you tired in another way.
For MMA fighters training under such master was quite an experience.
Piotr Mróz: Such training really gives you a lot, it's a high-end martial artist for sure, so it's a great experience.
Possibly such trainings will take place again sometime in future.
Remigiusz Karpiński: In karate, we've got more dynamic movements, as we cannot grab - it is stated in the rules of a fight, which do not provide neither grabs nor pushing with an open hand. Everything should be done at a proper distance, all the techniques should be executed clearly, without such grasping contact.
The difference was clear during grappling exercises, where you are supposed to grab you partner's neck, choke him or apply a joint lock.
"Chmiel" (nickname) offered a really demanding training. As long as the fighters kept their distance, karatekas done pretty good with MMA fighters, because this kind of exercises they've got almost every day. For them, it was a way to familiarize themselves with another fightning system.
Antoni Chmielewski: Here, people from different MA can fight each other: judoka can fight a boxer, boxer can fight a wrestler... here you can see who is better. Unfortunately much has changed lately, we don't fight one style anymore, but with all of them, so everyone learns a bit of every MA.
Karatekas training together with MMA fighters - that's quite a rare sight, as these are not really similar martial arts. The opportunity for a joint training came up when Antoni Chmielewski, MMA champion, visited the dojo. At first he met children which were ending their Winter Karate Academy, and then he got around to the older karatekas. MMA is a mix of different martial arts, and those who train it should know the basis of for example box, judo or kickboxing.
@PaulinaJax i said it before and i'll say it again, i REALLY wish something like this would happen around where i live, what an amazing opportunity for everyone to learn, imagine the caliber of fighters that would emerge if we all shared our knowledge like this :)
Okay, wow, yeah great. But the thing is, it's hardley fair? Most of the Karate fighters shown in the beginning are 8th-7th Kyu, so it's Training for THEM, and not for some kid youtubing martial arts.
Actually only one of them are beginners, the rest are seasoned fighters and they came and asked me to teach them effective striking coz they dont aprove of what their coach is theaching them about striking. So I teach them the footwork that goes with the striking. Anyways here in South-Africa MMA kicked of with a huge bang, but for some reason they stoped broadcasting it and our own UFC (EFC) just stopped drwaing people and the tickets got ALLOT cheaper ( I attended a few matches).
@kenseisato1989 yes ;) that was a special trening some like sparing trening betwen MMA team Ełk and EKKK :) they trained together because one of the best MMA fighters in Poland Antoni Chmielewski come to see Kyokushin section in Ełk :)
@OVERCAPITALIZE Specializing in one style and being lethal at it is better . MMA is like a jack of all trades and not being lethal at anyone of his skills.
@OVERCAPITALIZE Please explain how you come to that conclusion...Look at lyoto Machida, he speializes in one style and he stands out ammong the other guys...If you are a Jack of all trades you are a master of none. Id rather be a master at what I do and be able to hold my own, than know all these fancy stuff and not being able to use them effectively and getting pasted...
@mirageF1AZ Lyoto has a BB in BJJ. Technically he is an MMA fighter with one good aspect. It's like taking a boxer vs grappler. Apparently your still one-dimensional.
@OVERCAPITALIZE Did you forget that he has a 3dan in Shotokan karate to what he always says he owes his sucsess. I dont look down at MMA but they dont respect karate and they dont have the technique of karate...And further more karate was developed for killing and maiming you oponent, MMA on the other hand is a sport wich doesnt have the foundation, they just thrown a bunch of guys in a octagon and let them beat eachother...Karate is like chess...Outsmart your oponent.
@mirageF1AZ real fighters dont respect things that dont work and only 1 person in 17 yrs can use some karate(machida).Techniques that dont work under pressure are useless. The only karate worth anything is kyokushin derivatives and even they dont punch the face.To make karate work requires a lot of adaptation until it wont even look like karate anymore.
@scarred10 No offence but its clear you dont know allot about karate. The FACT is ALL karate has the same origin, thats why you get the WKF (ALLSTYLES KARATE). A true karateka never thumbles under preasure PERIOD! And its not about how it looks as you claim, even if it doesnt look like karate you can still see it in the footwork the targeting, control and so on. KArate is made to kill MMA is a sport. MMA is just another fad that will disapear over time. KArate will be around forever...
@mirageF1AZ mma will be here forever now that it has shown thats its possible to have real fights in relative safety and make a living doing it.Karate will exist for those that dont want to fight bt just prance around doing kata.99% karate black belts have never sparred full contact, fought with grappling or had to defend themselves. The kyokushin derivatives are decent styles but dont grapple and dont strike the head with punches with the exception of kudo, which is very unlike karate.
@scarred10 THere is no use in trying to sketch the picture for you, you dont understand karate and it cant be taught to the ignorant. I respect MMA because I Have been asked by many off my MMA friend to teach them striking and so on with sucess.
@mirageF1AZ ive been training 27 yrs in several styles, all competetive and all full contact apart from itf tkd which was mostly light contact.I understand how all arts work, even the ones ive never trained and know their history in detail.MMA isnt an art its a sport and doesnt need respect.Your friends must be beginners if theyre asking a karateka for tips on striking.
@mirageF1AZ same origin, but today can look and be entirely different. Most have no fullcontact and no wrestling and are therefore ineffective in MMA.Pisspoor arts will always be around because most people dont like roughness and getting hit.MMA will always be here also because it makes money and is regulated by athletic commisions. Also it has a large fan base, many of whom actually train on a recreational level.Any sport like that is permanent.
@scarred10 I stated it wrong what I was trying to say is I dont respect MMA but I respect the guys who practice it regardless of their skill level , because here we are brothers in martial arts.Actually the style of karate I practice is Shotokan and we have two types of competitions namely WKF (allstyles) in wich you are only alowed light contact, and then we have traditional wich is style affiliated I do KWF shotokan and we fight barenuckle full contact or with these tiny lill mits full contact
@mirageF1AZ you mean no face punch full contact which would be like kyokushin. Many of the lads who do mma are outright wankers with no respect for anyone,i wouldnt call them martial artsists. The training is to be repected because of its realism and honesty, you have it all backwrds.Ive been training mma for about 15 yrs and still dont like the crowds we get at shows,it seems to attract bigmouths and troublemakers.
@scarred10 No, actually we allow full contacts blows to the face with palm strikes, fists and knife hands. You are also allowed to attack the back of the head and the back. The only thing that are not allowed is leg kicks and and the obvios such as fingers in your eyes and so on. I think there might be a few vids for you to watch. I believe no matter what art you practice you should be humble. If you dont find any vids for KWF karate try JKA karate.
@scarred10 Yes Modern JKA is light contact, thats why we split from them and started KWF under sensei Mikio Yahara. watch this ( watch?v=grLosUI_TTk ) . The old JKA is how we currently are. You can also watch Shotokan the art of war. Just watch it and you will see.
@scarred10 Oh so its no full contact to the face?must be some optical illusion that makes people fall to the ground. No offence but its no use talking to you because you are ignorant and have an answer for everything, when instead you could learn something when keeping quiet.Old JKA is the same as the current KWF full contact barenuckle karate. But we splintered from JKA in Late 90's because they became soft. The proove is in the vid, but sadly you will always argue and never accept you are wrong.
@mirageF1AZ: I agree with this statement, and have been saying this for years. But of course when a fighter is a specialist, they must be able to defend whatever attacks are thrown their way, be it punches, take-downs, or submissions.
@TheKarateOyama nie powiedział bym :) zawodnicy MMA mają jedna zasadnicza przewagę nad karatekami a mianowicie poświęcają dużo czasu na walkę w parterze i obalenia a co karateka zrobi w parterze ?? nic taka prawda... dlatego nie można ograniczać sie do jednego stylu walki
Really neat video. I came expecting another childlike argument about which style was better, but this seems to be a genuine exchange of ideas, for the betterment of both parties. Excellent video! Keep up the good work!
dear god,WTF IS WITH ALL THE RIVALRY??all i see is mma vs ninjutsu or karate vs mma.you should be working togheter you idiots, keep the spirit of the martial arts alive, don't destroy it with your arrogant claim that "mine is better than yours" and "ugh,i'm gonna fuck you up in one move" look at the spirit of aikido, for example.it's not about competition nor pride.no martial arts are about that.martial arts are about the discipline of the mind and self-defense

MMA is a compilation of the most effective techniques that were around for thousands of years. IF I took the 10 greatest book of all time and took out only the best shit of each book, of course it would be awesome because im stealing shit from someone else... show respect where it is due, fanboys wouldnt have mma if martial arts didnt have techniques for them to steal from.
throathammer1 1 month ago 33
@throathammer1 Very true.
rimidalvetarak 1 month ago
@throathammer1 steal? they were stolen were they? last time i checked u cant steal teaching u fuckin idiot... they didnt steal them they were trained in these techniques by people that they paid money to... and by the way we wouldnt have ANYTHING if it wasnt "stolen" from the people who were around before us dont be jealous cuz whatever shit partial art u studied all ur life turned out to be a crock of shit when u got ur ass kicked by sum black guy in an alley
figgywurmack 1 month ago
personal attacks, name calling, jealousy, masculinity issues and feelings of powerlessness represented by your black guy fantasies. I think you have been wounded by someone close to you and you harbor repressed homosexual urges because your father wasnt there for you as a child. enjoy being spiritually crippled through your journey; try not to hate too much it will anchor you here after your body expires.
throathammer1 1 month ago
@throathammer1 where did u come up with the jealousy part and the masculinity issues bit? did u even read my comment?.. and whats with the homosexual talk? i didnt bring that up so it must be ur problem if u felt the need mention it.. nice comeback by the way... by not responding to my comment at all it really shows the problem you have with simple conversation...so u attack the idea of my comment instead.. smooth move it really makes u seem like u have a mental handicap
figgywurmack 1 month ago
@throathammer1 MMA can be pretty much ANY compilation of martial arts, but sport MMA is to make the opponent tap out, not kill them. The best MMA is used by the Military.
TheBigDead0ne 1 month ago
@throathammer1 MMA has been around long before 90% of these martial arts even existed... it just wasnt called MMA.. it was called Pankration which was used over 640 years BC.
SuperMadklown 4 weeks ago
@SuperMadklown judo came first about 300 years before pankration, samurai existed, and in the event they lost their sword they'd use it to take on armored opponents which punches and kicks would do no good, granted there is alot of cross over but judo is more scientific and the result is more force from less effort, ive been trained by both judo black belts and wrestler of 25 years and akido black belt lol
chatanwarrior 3 weeks ago
@chatanwarrior Aikido is unrealistic, ive practiced it for 7 months, nobody will give u his arm waiting for u to do work on him
psychick99 3 weeks ago
@psychick99 yeah, thats so you can practice the movements when you do grab the arm, it also takes more than 7 FUCKING MONTHS TO FIGURE THIS OUT!! maybe your teacher sucked idk but mine would show me the moves 3 times slow then attack me and its up to me to react properly, i usually get 1 after a few weeks of intense practice alone, going over in my mind every move he made, then i get close to what he's talking about!
chatanwarrior 3 weeks ago
@chatanwarrior the point is seven months with NO RESULT
psychick99 3 weeks ago

chatanwarrior 3 weeks ago
@psychick99 clearly u've never been in a fight where someone throws a haymaker, OR you sat there thinking and took the punch like many white belts ive seen trying to be jackie chan, too much thinking and you get killed, you let your body simply REACT with the moves you've practiced and you'll live, at my dojo we never trained for sport, we trained to survive
chatanwarrior 3 weeks ago
@chatanwarrior Are you mentally retarded?.... Judo was created around 1882 AD. Jujitsu (which is where Judo came from) was created around the 1720's.. Pankration has been around BEFORE 640BC... thats over 2200 years BEFORE judo.... not after. get your facts straight before you comment about shit that you dont know and make a fool of yourself. Pankcration is older then any japanese martial art.
SuperMadklown 3 weeks ago
@SuperMadklown uh no, judo came first, jiu-jitsu came after! samurai's created it in the 900 AD's, clearly you've done no research on the subject
chatanwarrior 3 weeks ago
@chatanwarrior You have just proven that you are a fucking IDIOT MORON... first off, Judo came from Jujitsu... go look up the history of judo u dumbass. Jujitsu was first. Judo was created by Jigoro kano, who learned Jujitsu. Pankration was over 640 BC.... BEFORE CHRIST.... BEFORE judo and Jujitsu.. BEFORE the samurai... your probably 12 years old and havnt learned history yet, if you older the 12 then your a DUMBASS and need to go back to school and learn history.
SuperMadklown 3 weeks ago
@chatanwarrior Te Samurai Created Jujitsu... NOT Judo.... Judo was created by Jigoro Kano, who learned Jujitsu. Before it was called Judo it was called "Jigoro Jujitsu" Thats the name it had wen it made its way to Brazil... then the gracies took it and renames in "Gracie Jiujitsu" Jujitsu>Judo>Gracie Jiujitsu. dumbass
SuperMadklown 3 weeks ago
@SuperMadklown "Kano Jujitsu" Not Jigoro... my mistake
SuperMadklown 3 weeks ago
@SuperMadklown ...really? fool i see what you are now, you're just another MMA fanboy, gracie jiu-jitsu isn't a style, its a brand like mcdonald's really. gracie teaches BRAZILLIAN jiu-jitsu
chatanwarrior 3 weeks ago
@chatanwarrior No they don't...the Gracie's weren't the only iu-Jitsu in Brazil at the time. The Japanese were trying to colonize, and Maeda was only one of the Jiu-Jitsu instructors who migrated there. There are many other jiu-jitsu styles that evolved in Brazil to make "Brazilian" iiu-Jitsu, of which the Gracie's a re no doubt a large part of...but the style of Jiu-Jitsu is fundamentally different from most others, even in Brazil.
Paytience3721 3 weeks ago
@Paytience3721 that's what i said, o.o the gracie's weren't doing jiu-jistu until after the japanese came over, jiu-jitsu came after judo, what superklown is thinking of is sport judo, but its much older than that, wrestling fan boys like to think pankration is the oldest form of martial arts but its not
chatanwarrior 3 weeks ago
@chatanwarrior once again you fail. every comment you fail... learn your facts before you speak you dumbass.... gracie JIujitsu IS brazilian jiujijtsu. The gracies call it gracie jiujitsu because the claim it to be theirs... Though actual Gracie jiujitsu has a Self Defense portion to it. Whre as BRAZILIAN Jiujitsu is pure sport.... Learn your shit dumbass... an m NOT a MMA fanboy. i dont even Watch MMA... I hav Practiced Brazilian Jiujitsu nd judo for over 10 years. so i know.
SuperMadklown 2 weeks ago
@SuperMadklown you have to be the dumbest person alive! brazillian jiu-jitsu like JIU-JITSU AND ALL FUCKING MARTIAL ARTS are self defense based! only a fucking MMA fanboy believes what your saying to be truth, its all self defense, gracie jiu-jitsu is a fucking franchise mc-dojo like fucking mcdonalds sells hamburgers and so does burger king, there's only slight differences in approaches based on the cook or sensei

chatanwarrior 3 weeks ago
@chatanwarrior Once again you FAIL HARD. Krav maga was NOT in th old testament, Krav maga was not created until the 1920's. Muay Boran was created 1200 AD... thats AFTER DEATH.... NOT BC....

PaulinaJax 2 months ago
Remigiusz Karpiński: In karate, we've got more dynamic movements, as we cannot grab - it is stated in the rules of a fight, which do not provide neither grabs nor pushing with an open hand. Everything should be done at a proper distance, all the techniques should be executed clearly, without such grasping contact.
The difference was clear during grappling exercises, where you are supposed to grab you partner's neck, choke him or apply a joint lock.
PaulinaJax 2 months ago
"Chmiel" (nickname) offered a really demanding training. As long as the fighters kept their distance, karatekas done pretty good with MMA fighters, because this kind of exercises they've got almost every day. For them, it was a way to familiarize themselves with another fightning system.
PaulinaJax 2 months ago
Antoni Chmielewski: Here, people from different MA can fight each other: judoka can fight a boxer, boxer can fight a wrestler... here you can see who is better. Unfortunately much has changed lately, we don't fight one style anymore, but with all of them, so everyone learns a bit of every MA.
PaulinaJax 2 months ago
English translation:
Karatekas training together with MMA fighters - that's quite a rare sight, as these are not really similar martial arts. The opportunity for a joint training came up when Antoni Chmielewski, MMA champion, visited the dojo. At first he met children which were ending their Winter Karate Academy, and then he got around to the older karatekas. MMA is a mix of different martial arts, and those who train it should know the basis of for example box, judo or kickboxing.

@mirageF1AZ real fighters dont respect things that dont work and only 1 person in 17 yrs can use some karate(machida).Techniques that dont work under pressure are useless. The only karate worth anything is kyokushin derivatives and even they dont punch the face.To make karate work requires a lot of adaptation until it wont even look like karate anymore.
scarred10 2 months ago
@scarred10 No offence but its clear you dont know allot about karate. The FACT is ALL karate has the same origin, thats why you get the WKF (ALLSTYLES KARATE). A true karateka never thumbles under preasure PERIOD! And its not about how it looks as you claim, even if it doesnt look like karate you can still see it in the footwork the targeting, control and so on. KArate is made to kill MMA is a sport. MMA is just another fad that will disapear over time. KArate will be around forever...
mirageF1AZ 2 months ago
@mirageF1AZ mma will be here forever now that it has shown thats its possible to have real fights in relative safety and make a living doing it.Karate will exist for those that dont want to fight bt just prance around doing kata.99% karate black belts have never sparred full contact, fought with grappling or had to defend themselves. The kyokushin derivatives are decent styles but dont grapple and dont strike the head with punches with the exception of kudo, which is very unlike karate.
scarred10 2 months ago
@scarred10 THere is no use in trying to sketch the picture for you, you dont understand karate and it cant be taught to the ignorant. I respect MMA because I Have been asked by many off my MMA friend to teach them striking and so on with sucess.
mirageF1AZ 2 months ago
@mirageF1AZ ive been training 27 yrs in several styles, all competetive and all full contact apart from itf tkd which was mostly light contact.I understand how all arts work, even the ones ive never trained and know their history in detail.MMA isnt an art its a sport and doesnt need respect.Your friends must be beginners if theyre asking a karateka for tips on striking.
scarred10 2 months ago
@mirageF1AZ same origin, but today can look and be entirely different. Most have no fullcontact and no wrestling and are therefore ineffective in MMA.Pisspoor arts will always be around because most people dont like roughness and getting hit.MMA will always be here also because it makes money and is regulated by athletic commisions. Also it has a large fan base, many of whom actually train on a recreational level.Any sport like that is permanent.
scarred10 2 months ago
@scarred10 I stated it wrong what I was trying to say is I dont respect MMA but I respect the guys who practice it regardless of their skill level , because here we are brothers in martial arts.Actually the style of karate I practice is Shotokan and we have two types of competitions namely WKF (allstyles) in wich you are only alowed light contact, and then we have traditional wich is style affiliated I do KWF shotokan and we fight barenuckle full contact or with these tiny lill mits full contact
mirageF1AZ 2 months ago
@mirageF1AZ you mean no face punch full contact which would be like kyokushin. Many of the lads who do mma are outright wankers with no respect for anyone,i wouldnt call them martial artsists. The training is to be repected because of its realism and honesty, you have it all backwrds.Ive been training mma for about 15 yrs and still dont like the crowds we get at shows,it seems to attract bigmouths and troublemakers.
scarred10 2 months ago
@scarred10 No, actually we allow full contacts blows to the face with palm strikes, fists and knife hands. You are also allowed to attack the back of the head and the back. The only thing that are not allowed is leg kicks and and the obvios such as fingers in your eyes and so on. I think there might be a few vids for you to watch. I believe no matter what art you practice you should be humble. If you dont find any vids for KWF karate try JKA karate.
mirageF1AZ 2 months ago
@mirageF1AZ no style allows full contact face punching without boxing gloves.Even mma doesnt spar like that.JKA IS LIGHT CONTACT POINT SPARRING
scarred10 2 months ago
@scarred10 Yes Modern JKA is light contact, thats why we split from them and started KWF under sensei Mikio Yahara. watch this ( watch?v=grLosUI_TTk ) . The old JKA is how we currently are. You can also watch Shotokan the art of war. Just watch it and you will see.
mirageF1AZ 2 months ago
@mirageF1AZ ive seen it years ago and trained it for about a year in london in the late 90s,its not full contact to the face.
scarred10 2 months ago
@scarred10 Oh so its no full contact to the face?must be some optical illusion that makes people fall to the ground. No offence but its no use talking to you because you are ignorant and have an answer for everything, when instead you could learn something when keeping quiet.Old JKA is the same as the current KWF full contact barenuckle karate. But we splintered from JKA in Late 90's because they became soft. The proove is in the vid, but sadly you will always argue and never accept you are wrong.
mirageF1AZ 2 months ago
@mirageF1AZ: I agree with this statement, and have been saying this for years. But of course when a fighter is a specialist, they must be able to defend whatever attacks are thrown their way, be it punches, take-downs, or submissions.

Really neat video. I came expecting another childlike argument about which style was better, but this seems to be a genuine exchange of ideas, for the betterment of both parties. Excellent video! Keep up the good work!
