while I have the collector's edition (for 360), I just got it because I'm a fan of the series. I wish there were more LIMITED editions of things, instead of collector's editions. Some people don't realize there's a difference.

Well you get a voucher sheet with a code on it in the Collector's Edition for 5 free alternate costume downloads. no bonus stages or anything like that. the Collector's Edition also comes with the SFIV soundtrack CD and a Collector's Hint Book in addition to the Ryu Figurine and Anime Movie.

they both have the same thing just that the 360 has c.viper and ps3 has ryu and the extra cd has an animited movie called the ties that bind decent movie they both also include a soundtrack cd with 17 theme songs of 17 characers in the game

I got the european collector's edition and I hope I didn't because there is no soundtrack cd with it there is a low quality C.Viper figure instead and the blue ray movie have no case, it is just in a plastic pocket

I wouldnt worry - you're not missing much - those figures are a bit rubbish IMO.. I was going to get it but on closer inspection it wasnt all I thought it would be.. I would have got the version with the combos DVD (or did I dream that up?), otherwise the sticks are where you should spend your money!

I was not aware of the collectors edition. I am not that avid of a gamer and I just wanted the game, but if the collectors edition comes with a blu ray disk and a toy I am glad I didnt get it. I am not knocking anyone who wanted/got it.

The only complaint I had was that I wished the CE's case was a metal plated case like RE5 and Halo3 CE. This one was just the rugular case with a tab on the top that says "Collectors Edition" -_- not very cool to brag about IMO

If anything get it for the soundtrack which will become limited in no time. that's what i'm doing. i don't have a PS3 yet but love the music from the game so am getting it for that(soundtrack)at the moment. yes get the limited edition. $20 more for a quality CD soundtrack, a Blu-Ray, a mini-guide/hint book, a collectible Ryu figurene, and the collector's edition box(which is only thin cardboard i've heard btw)does'nt seem all that shabby tbh.
