A few catholics slipped the net and I can only surmise that back in the day they didn't shout about it from the rooftops, opting instead to keep their heads down and keep it relatively under wraps.

Strikes me that even back in Mr Stein's day Celtic were proactive in addressing the problems of sectarianism.

Where does it state his religion held him back from a place on the board? Mr Stein was a giant in the eyes of Celtic supporters and the prospect of working alongside him in the boardroom probably terrified other board members. It's also fair to assume that his real talent lay in football management and not in directorial affairs.

If they're over the age of fifteen, they've surely noticed I have posted quotes from ex Rangers greats about their sectarian signing policy. Surely they wonder why a Rangers supporter on this thread has admitted Rangers had a policy, yet you deny it?

As for my foreign colleagues/friends, well I am not surprised you are struggling to come to terms with that. My god it seems like 'slick' has been allocated the position of defender of the faith for this act of celtic fc racism. 99% of the near 100k posts here must be made by him/her! I wonder if Dr D or P Liewell are paying him as much as TM currently getting? Or perhaps he just hates black people like most celtic supporters? I've said it before & when showing this clip to foreigners they also can't believe why anyone would try to defend it. World, please believe us not all Brits/Scots are like this.

Archie says at the start of this, "Rangers creating a bit of history by having the first coloured player in the history of their club..." Their club was 115 years old at this time and hadn't signed a catholic or ethnic minority player.
Why then do they brand Celtic as racists? Rangers have always been a joke.
