  • great recording level! Thanks.

  • @rottie It's the only level I know, Thank you for the complement!

  • That's what I'm talkin' about! The Ventures lead the way when it comes to instrumental guitar work. You can hear their influence even today. The first son I learned on the guitar was Walk Don't Run. I've loved these guys since I can remember and I just turned 60, so it has been a long time.

  • @lawrenceqpadilla Awesome story!

I agree with you entirely ,they say "The Ventures are the group that launched 1000 groups!" and I add 10,000 times more guitar players.

60, wow! you were the tender age of 7 when the Ventures first came to be!

    Thanks for the comment!

  • Gee being a trian nut and a long time Ventures fan it just doesn't get any better than this.

  • @Mike7193 before i say see ya!

for your information, the ventures had over 30 #1 originals in Japan in the 1970's...now that you are a fountain of mis-information, I say your outta here moron!

  • "Awesome!", Thank You! :)

  • Yep, Nokie played lead on this one. I'd be willing to bet these guys inspired nearly as many guys to learn/play music as the Beatles. I spent 18 months in Japan in '62-63 and these albums were my soundtrack, and it came full circle when I was in a band that shared the bill with "Les Ventures" in Montreal in the 70s!

  • Hard to imitate is correct, even though some like to think The Shadows are as good or better. No contest.

  • The shadows, the spotnicks etc ...Then we have the incomparable Ventures that always innovate rather than immitate.

always nice to see a loyal fan & someone who appreciates the hard work the ventures have done for the past half century to bring us ultimate entertainment .

sorry, got on my soap box for a second...Thanks for the comment :-))

  • one of the best ventures tune! even if u're a guitar wizzard, u'll find it hard to imitate this!

  • Many imitators ,but no duplicators...the ventures do it like no one can.

    thanks for the comment.

  • One of their very best ever. Used to play this one a lot...thanx for postin'!

  • I think you were the one who requested this about a year ago...you are indeed welcome!

  • @stupullen Could very well be, but I honestly don't remember it anymore since it must have been a long time ago (better late than never:) ...again: thanx for postin'!

  • I think it was on another channel, but I remember your "handle"... you are always welcome!!!

  • @stupullen :)

  • This kind of sounds like "Tally Ho", by the Belairs. Same guitar sound, that is. Good stuff, man.

  • yes i would say a dominate sound between the two - thanks

  • That's music...I love the Ventures

  • love it? outstanding!

a true ventures fan...your welcome to see my other 54.

  • Untouchable! The best year of their

    music in my humble opinion.

  • Thank you for your gracious comment!

  • TOTALLY AWESOME TUNE !!!!!! This was my dad's favorite Ventures song! At least in the top 5 category! "Going To The Ventures Dance Party" is one of their best albums in my opinion :-)

  • Another one of my favorite tunes by The Ventures. Thank you for uploading this one.Great shame that they have no desire to play this live! There is an alternate earlier version of this tune on "In the vaults vol 2" cd.

  • I know,,,I own it.

  • read guiter on nokie!!(^^)

  • Yes, I have done that & I am currently working on a congratulations for him getting the lifetime achievement award for his guitar work for over 50 years.

I will send you a message when I get it all together .

  • Hi Stu.

The sound of Jazzmaster is very cool.

I want to play this tune someday.
