That's what I'm talkin' about! The Ventures lead the way when it comes to instrumental guitar work. You can hear their influence even today. The first son I learned on the guitar was Walk Don't Run. I've loved these guys since I can remember and I just turned 60, so it has been a long time.
for your information, the ventures had over 30 #1 originals in Japan in the 1970's...now that you are a fountain of mis-information, I say your outta here moron!
Yep, Nokie played lead on this one. I'd be willing to bet these guys inspired nearly as many guys to learn/play music as the Beatles. I spent 18 months in Japan in '62-63 and these albums were my soundtrack, and it came full circle when I was in a band that shared the bill with "Les Ventures" in Montreal in the 70s!
The shadows, the spotnicks etc ...Then we have the incomparable Ventures that always innovate rather than immitate.
always nice to see a loyal fan & someone who appreciates the hard work the ventures have done for the past half century to bring us ultimate entertainment .
sorry, got on my soap box for a second...Thanks for the comment :-))
@stupullen Could very well be, but I honestly don't remember it anymore since it must have been a long time ago (better late than never:) ...again: thanx for postin'!
TOTALLY AWESOME TUNE !!!!!! This was my dad's favorite Ventures song! At least in the top 5 category! "Going To The Ventures Dance Party" is one of their best albums in my opinion :-)
Another one of my favorite tunes by The Ventures. Thank you for uploading this one.Great shame that they have no desire to play this live! There is an alternate earlier version of this tune on "In the vaults vol 2" cd.
Yes, I have done that & I am currently working on a congratulations for him getting the lifetime achievement award for his guitar work for over 50 years.
I will send you a message when I get it all together .
great recording level! Thanks.

@lawrenceqpadilla Awesome story!
I agree with you entirely ,they say "The Ventures are the group that launched 1000 groups!" and I add 10,000 times more guitar players.
60, wow! you were the tender age of 7 when the Ventures first came to be!
Thanks for the comment!

Hard to imitate is correct, even though some like to think The Shadows are as good or better. No contest.

This kind of sounds like "Tally Ho", by the Belairs. Same guitar sound, that is. Good stuff, man.
