  • john haege?!

  • 4:25 that smile :)

  • this si gud

  • Rampage 2010 !!!!!!!!!

  • wish there were more bands that put a tenth as much effort into their music as Menomena does

  • I'd kill to see Menomena live

  • The guitar player....O' Brother, Where Art Thou?

  • even the radio woman had an orgasm with the song, struggling to say menomena at 4:37

  • I miss them :(

  • 4:14

  • this song is amazing,

    I.dont.believe.my.ears

  • Menomenal. These guys are so good and should get more recognition

  • KEXP Management: "Damnit, Menomena! We told you not to smash the whole bottle of Adderall until AFTER you played!"

  • This band could be the soundtrack to urban unrest. I envision Jasmine Revolutions everywhere because people are just pissed. Lets everyone get in the way of all authority. Slow them down, become their hinderance.

And I mean all of this as a compliment. Really. I do. This song sounds great.

  • He looks almost exactly like john mayer at 0:32

  • drummer looks like he's having THE best time haha. so good!

  • I live these people and State Radio. I wanna see one of these two bands on concert but i've never been to a "real" concert before and i dont know how they work or how its like. To be honest, im kinda scared. On top of that im only 17. Is that normal?

  • I LOVE MENOMENA.

    epic name

    epic music

    epic people

    MY FAVORITE BAND!

  • Seeing these guys live tomorrow!! :D:D

  • kinda reminds me of KOL..... (kings of leon)

  • menomena is very awesome.

  • That was really fantastic. I didn't realize, until I played four of these, how many singers the group had. But this song, especially, really got me moving.

  • hahahahah those headphones are amazing, for 100, they sound like they are worth twice that. the best noise canceling headphones in this price range, put them on and you can hardly hear the person next to you with no sound going through the headphones

  • These guys are amazing. One of the best shows I saw last year. I saw them the day after I saw Gayngs and the day before the Annuals and they were by far the most memorable.

  • I dig the way Joe holds his guitar. Kinda reminds me of some early UK rockers.

  • This band is phenomenal!

  • Simply the best album of 2010...

  • i love this band. one of the most original ive seen in a while. theres a reason why this has 0 dislikes.

  • Ruud Van Nistelrooy on drums?

  • They are original but they do remind me of Radiohead.

    Mines is awesome

    Just pure awesome.

  • phenomenal - menomenal

  • I hope they keep Joe on as a permanent band member.

  • Menomena rules and so does this station!

    xoxoxo

    THE SUICYCLES

  • THe best album of the year.

  • 'Stumbled' across these guys by accident,

it's like 'stumbling' across a pot 'o' gold

  • ponytails <3 :')

  • hahaha at 4:25 brent is like "danny, you done GOOFED!" :3

  • Could he sing any more like Damon Albarn??? Do love this song though, just first time I heard it wasn't sure if Blur just put something out. This song does kick ass, don't get me wrong.

  • Come to Dekalb!

  • this should have over a million views. one of the best bands making music.

  • What's the guy's name in the red shirt?

  • @bmr5805 Joe Haeg from 31 Knots.

  • Now doubt - the best CD of this year.

    Extraordinaray music.

  • Wait,,,did a guy comment that they had disaffected political lyrics!?!? Are you listening to them at all? Menomena is more of an art band in the vein of radiohead than just another indie band - they are just foot to the floor brilliant and talented.

  • what's that sound? oh, yeah, my panties hitting the floor...

  • @Fridayjones69 I am reminded of Jimi Hendrix

  • ohfoolishworkerbee, you're kidding, right? change-ups, goofy time signatures, and crowding instruments is what these times are all about. hell, the Beatles did the same thing. i admit that the drummer here is really tight, though.

my major gripe with indie music is that 1) it's all about the marginalia of life, without adding insight aside from bland observation and 2) these bands seem like they're in a race to be in the next iPod commercial. its like the final days of big hair bands, man.

  • @tincan77 Listen...these guys are the most original, genius bands of their time. I make no jokes or say this lightly. Can we help it if Apple and other companies want to actually use talented musicians in their adds lately? I just discovered Angus and Julia Stone from a commercial and they are phenomenal.

Make no mistake. Menomena are not a flash-in-the-pants band. Take a look at their albums. Listen to each at least 3 times and if you are not a disciple, then there is no hope for U.S.A

  • lol at that last guitar note:D

  • Seriously - what other band sounds REMOTELY like this? The change-ups, the bizzarre time signatures, the juxtaposition of different instruments and the three different singers who can actually PLAY those instruments? the entire indie rock spectrum has been ruined by lo-fi myspace buzzbands or corporate stadium-rock shit.

If you don't like it, hey that's cool, but calling them unoriginal is completely baseless.

  • @ohfoolishworkerbee i agree with you but i always thought that this song (or at least the beginning) somewhat sounds like TV On The Radio

  • @mtlcanadiens95 for some reason when he starts singing reminds me of cold war kids and maybe some old kings of leon

  • @POPOFELIZ yeah thats what i thought

  • @ohfoolishworkerbee I think (nay I know) I hear bits of The Who from the mid-70s, mostly in the drums and some of the phrasing. It's an excellent song no matter what its origins. Nobody pulls the great music straight out of their *ss. They all stand on the shoulders of giants. This is a great song. I can hardly wait to see this live.

  • @ohfoolishworkerbee

i love menomena as much as the next guy, but this song is in straight 4 the whole way through. not exactly the most bizzare of time signatures

  • @ohfoolishworkerbee

no doubt, these guys are original as fuck.

    fave band at the moment.

  • @ohfoolishworkerbee

Deerhoof. They sound a lot like Deerhoof.

  • @ohfoolishworkerbee tv on the radio sounds remotley like this. but only this song. the rest of this album is mind blowingly un heard by human ears.

  • @ohfoolishworkerbee - Just like my opinion! This guys are VERY good musicians.

  • @ohfoolishworkerbee Yo la Tengo are sort of similar but not really. The closest I can think of. Both are great, though.

  • yeah, but this song is about picking up chicks while hammered, and its by menomena, so that renders your argument invalid

  • @tincan77 I grew up with grunge, hip hop, metal... and I love these guys, I'd suggest widening your music taste and giving this band a chance.

  • @music2012

it's all about giving 'other' kinds of music a chance

  • that was awesome.

  • Hope you'll upload all these into your Vimeo acct soon!

  • love the flippin drummer.

  • @zero15541554

yeah man he's tearing it up.
