  • From the TWINKLY twinkly sounds, to the EERILY distressed female voice sample.

The FAT (not phat) imposing B-line + sythn strings, some soarING, others subtle and mellow.

Reletively simple DRUM pattern mostly and then more eery stuff than a Halloween night, all adds up to another LTJ CLASSIC!!

  • Это она !

  • The quintessential sound of Liquid drum and bass.. a classic

  • AWESOME !!!! :-)

  • Remember the first time i heard this song in the Hippodrome 1993.....me and my mates stopped talking for the whole song...................amazing times

  • much respect to this guy.. i saw him on an event in Athens +soda club 1996!!

  • mesmerizing

  • The High is sooo powerfull

  • Absolute perfection, the drop still catches me out today. Love this tune.

  • sogno sveglio

  • TUNE!!

  • Forever track.

  • exactly what DnB should sound like, proper oldskool stuff truly amazing :D

  • For all those that attended over the years, this was THE World Dance tune! Original, deep, soulful, melodic and what DnB should be. 5 gold stars!!!

  • i think it takes abit of space and time before ones mind really begins to hear dnb

  • pure drum&bass

  • LTJ Bukem makes the best drum and bass music. End of. Anyone who wants to argue that point will be arguing with my fists.

  • @CainG88 .......Easy Tiger..!!!

  • the best track......temazooooo.....im vinyl

  • yes yes yes, so good, takes me on a magical journey every time

  • meh

  • Always played this as my last track when I was pioneering drum and bass in the UK from '93.

  • This So Beautiful. I Could Listen To This All Day & All Night.

  • Not everyone can hear the Beauty of this track if you are one of those that can smile

  • @SteveEboy71 True. This track has been captivating me and taking me off to another, stark, strange, but darkly beautiful world since I was about 10. Still does the business for me now like it did back then. And still one of the few tracks I often like to listen to 3 times in a row. Takes a musical ear to appreciate its subtle finery.

  • Hypnotic. Amazing. Nuff said.

  • any1 who disliked this tune is gong home tonight to have sex with their mum while she is on her period!...period

  • @marlybob123 Too right! Only got a couple more years before the menopause kicks in, got to make the most of it

  • It's about ten years since I've heard this tune and even off a first listen i'm buzzing goosebumps and little rushes from the anticipation of the progression of the track, my concious mind had all but forgotton the track but on some deeper level it's been there all along. Re discovery is amazing. Peace !!

    still in my jungle collections

    and still soundin tough

    nicee

  • Still one off best tracks ever takes me back to Universe Big Love 1993, with the mighty Top Buzz and Mad P trying to get the music put up and chucking the mic into the crowed... " Turn It Fucking Up," you an asshole or what" ;-)

  • Stop being so analytical, and just enjoy the music for what it is. If it's no longer fun, walk away

  • @eduds6 lets revive it?.. im up for it, infact the fire has never stopped Muahahahaha!!! :D

  • why does everyone i show dnb to only hear ambiance and think its repetitive? do some people just connect with how much is really going on in the song and other people completely ignore/misunderstand the constantly changing emotion?

  • @turbodub501 Its because most people cannot hear the intricacies of whats going on. If you have a good ear there is 4 concurrent beats playing at the same time. A lot of people simply hear noise however.

  • @BarakaObama2012 In this song that is. I don't mean that in general.

  • @turbodub501 they are nabs.. i tend to belive that they do not feel anything while listening to music. the only thing what is considered as good for them is the sound and only that. They cant feel the bassline, they only understand the rythm which is kind of backward in DnB for them.. they are not used to amen break it sounds like noise to them and they do not understand that the amen break is only the background of this kind of music..

  • @S3l3ct1ve indeed, funny i was just listening to this song haha. i wish mtv still played music like this

  • @turbodub501

You pretty much summed it up right there mate!!!

  • @turbodub501 DUde i totally have this problem man, like i connect with this comment 100%

  • @turbodub501

it's a combination of feeling and understanding. if one can't feel this music, they will not understand it

  • @turbodub501 all about acoustic perception me thinks... the subtle changes in the atmoshpere is what makes this track what it is... timeless piece of music.

  • ..................so bad. LTJ for ever

  • Is this song being mixed into another? If so, what's the 2nd song? I love it!

  • I played the tune, was about to close the window. My friend wrote to me on msn, and i left it... After it started, i felt in love with drum and bass. End of story :D

    P.S now i am drumandbassolic. :)

  • sounds like its on a slow turntable... I'm sure this is supposed to be faster.... ?

  • @VyktorAbyss No it is not slow, this is the original, Is this your first time hearing this song? It is a classic dance music song.

  • @panrick Funny, I've got this on Bukem's Horizon's double CD, and I'm sure it was faster on that. Though could just be my memory playing tricks as it was a long time since I last heard it.

And its a drum and bass track, not "a classic dance music song".

  • @VyktorAbyss people dance to drum and bass, so it is dance music. I am aware of the different genres, but I'm not splitting hairs here. same as Rockabilly music falls under the same umbrella as heavy metal, it's all rock n roll.

  • @VyktorAbyss

nope it is faster during different sets during that period it was a common practise to speed up or slow down tunes to get just the right mix in

and i do record hearing this tune and others at various speeds

it just add a bit of spice to a rave

  • @VyktorAbyss noo

  • One of the greatest tunes of all time. Bukem is awesome. So humble for someone so immensely influential.

  • pure fucking energy

  • kwintensencja swobodnej muzyki kojącej duszę

  • Oceanic hardcore.

  • 11 dislikes?? Seriously!!???

  • if there was one track that represented the peak of my rave days this would have to be it.its just in a league of its own

  • Oh man this tune takes me back down memory lane

My god this is such a fucking tune, Gave me goose pimples.

Heres another classic for the original ravers, check out Naz - it started again

  • LTJ Bukem Is The Onee !!

  • dj ratty @ club kinetic, always wonderd what this tune was

  • When I heard my first DnB track, it was Bukem... Wasn't "Music", but "Demons Theme"... It opened a whole other world for me. Bukem still stands after over a decade as my favorite DnB artist ever. You just can't match the flow, atmosphere, melody, emotion, and energy of Bukem. LTJ will forever remain a legend in my eyes.

  • An all time Kosmic Classic. I Bow down to genius

  • Fucking HOOOOJ tune so many memories come flooding back

  • what a tune :-) pure bad boy

  • OUTSTANDING!!!

  • heard this 1st time at universe at bath dropped by fabio.things have never been the same since.

  • @the0verlay ok good thankyou.

  • without this i am nothing - this tune is a milestone

  • ohh the emotion and feelings of living for the moment this, song brings me back man-i agree-this should be put in a time capsule-its a pure innocent masterful track-i got all the good looking recs on wax-i was a part of the 90's brookylyn/ nyc rave scene

  • feel good music!! cheers

  • Along with 'return to Atlantis', this is most certainly a tune which when listened to, turns LTJ from human to GOD!

  • this is a good chill or dance track. in fact i been getting down to this all day. smoke weed

  • when the bass comes in jus completes this track

  • This is MUSIC and could still be played in clubs today. Epic monster tune

  • Classic emotive and brilliant..

  • temasoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • Lovin this!!

  • this song gives me goose bumps!!!

  • ace ace ace

  • LTJ God

  • tha best ov tha best ov tha best ov tha best betta than all tha rest

  • The purity of the Bukem sound was something else. I was always finding myself running out of tune because I just wanted to hold the mixe for as long as possible to get the full benefit.

As for him playing a set,.............let's just say he is to crossfader-action as to what Hype is to scratching. Nobody could touch him for his technical ability when it came to chopping up beats. Conrad was wicked too.

  • Bukem, pure quality, your mans a legend

  • amazing weekend rush 92.3 fm - the days!!!!

  • UK's Finest. The blueprint/benchmark to Intelligent D+B with Soul.

  • ok, i remember listening to this tune a labs in london at dawn, on 3 doves.. was no argueing there boys !!!!

  • LTJ BUKEM yeeah

  • its a crime to fast forward it...

  • @danyboy931 shut up u fucking mong u think u kno dnb u kno fuck all pendulum destroyed dnb with their stupid cheesy sounds there older stuff was good and they just got worse remove your coment on such a good tune ur a disgrace as a dnb listener

  • @danyboy931 FUCK this I cant stand by and watch some little bitch start saying pendulum are sick, please im not even from the old school jungle era and i resepct that its alot better than some of the new stuff like pendulum , sure there are some great new dnb songs but pendulum are seriously genre killers with there pop/ heavy metal drum n bass take on music.

  • @danyboy931 Sorry boy, had friends over and they were commenting using my account. Anyway, I don't rate pendulum, and going by your previous comment saying "if you don`t like Pendulum, don't listen to them", we don't. You are on an LTJ Bukem video, we don't listen to pendulum here. Anyway, have your opinion, and enjoy the music, it'll be a lot more fun than being a stuck up prick like whoever it is that wrote my comment.

  • @danyboy931 Lol, there should be a rule that you can't post if you're under the age of 13. As of Pendulum being 'the new sound' that's clearly utter shit. They're just a perfect example of what happens when a band gets too popular - they get overproduced and money hungry.

All that aside, absolutely amazing tune!!

  • @danyboy931 jog on m8

  • @danyboy931 besides that pendulum are just hanging of Konflicts balls. the only difference is that their media hungry, so they stick a bit of pop in the grind. call them what yu will, but dont celebrate them over LTJ. thats just rude.

  • DEDICADA À RAINHA BEATRIZ DE PORTUGAL ! mil miminhos meu amor...tão lindo ! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ alexandre

  • @xNapalmFlamex AMEN!

  • How long is the full length version? I've noticed all the versions on here are about 8:50 long, yet I have a version on an unmixed compilation CD that's over 10 minutes long (at the same speed as this, so it's not as if it's just slower) and it still fades out in what seems mid-tune.

  • Un pilier dans la Drum, Ltj Bukem a défriché sévère.

Respect au Good Looking Records Crew !!!

  • Not as good as pendulum? Pendulums the kind of shit you listen to when you first hear dnb but when you get into it you realise there is so much more to dnb than that shit!

  • @Kiper641 you are obviously quite new to the genre if u listened to pendulem first to get into D$B!

its like saying i got into hip hop through 50 cent!! its a commercial by product of the true soud that has been sodimissed as far as im concurned!! each to there own i guess and i hope you have now discovered the likes of peshay, mooving shadow, good looking records, v recordings and many many other great labels with the originators on!

  • @peshayuk i couldn't put it better

  • Elliot your a gimp! This tune is what 15 years old and sounds better than anything pendulum have ever done! People like Buken pionered jungle/d&b. Then you have pendulum who come along and murder the music!

  • Not as good as pendulum i'm afraid.

  • @ElliotovHull it'a a diffrent kind of dnb, wtf You talking about

  • @ElliotovHull

pendulum isnt in the same genre, hoW can you compare POP to PURE DRUM AND BASS????

If you like the live sound check out london electricity live shows!! hope i can change your mind!?!?!

  • This tune will live forever.

  • @beowulven

This should be put in a time capsule, for the benefit of future civilizations.

  • @junglejd13 : how do you know it wasn't already ?

  • @junglejd13 It has been, by youtube.

  • @junglejd13 ahaha i agree

  • @junglejd13

it is a time capsule from future civilizations.

  • @junglejd13 @@@@@@@@ finally someone speaks sence! amen

  • @junglejd13 @@@@@@@@ finally someone speaks sence! amen , what a fu$kin tune

  • @junglejd13

I think it ought to be required listening for current civilizations.

  • mmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!.......feel the rush!

  • tök jó zene

  • @gtilowrider igen, nagyon, nagyon jó. Greetings az Írórszágból.

  • you had to be there to understand remember with Bukem out of the darkness came the light

  • im seriously diggin' the vj with the bass, so good

  • who ever gave this a thumbs down needs to sort them selves out

  • Wow just came back after an age to this track. Now I remember why I loved it and still do.

  • One of the absolute classics of all time! That first drop is almost heartstopping! LTJ Bukem is very respected i know but i personally put him up there with the very best of them! ONELOVE

  • Liquid DnB

    I fucking love it.

  • xNapalmFlamex CORRECT!!!! they are complete gash,, Fake DnB

  • @ilovebeer79 to be honest dont you think pendulums band is trance instead of dnb coz i think so?

  • ltj - a pioneer, a visionary, a futurist - so far ahead at his time. 1st time i heard this was the rider opening his set in bham, everyone was like what the fuck??? then bass kicked...... it was never the same again.

  • Timeless stuff really, Bukem real was an innovator back then and continued to make great music for long after this, and is a skilled musician.

  • OAKENFOLD OSLO, YOU KNOW IT!!!
