@amour23199 Because FF VII was the first FF in 3D, because it was on a shiny new console, and because it was one of the best RPG's ever made, just like every FF from VI to X. That's part of the reason anyway. Furthermore, you can play FF VI using a free emulator, it's pretty easy, just Google it.

Kefka is more evil, cunning, intellectual, and ambitious than Sephiroth, the only thing Sephiroth would win in is in battle, but Kefka would use a ton of espers and magic anyways.

I would say, please not....with better graphics the games wouldn't be the same.

The graphic is really bad in the first games, but especially this make them unique and classic...at the moment I play the first part of the row....the game is older than me ;D...and I love it, the graphic is so bad but on the other side its very funny, this mini people in a 2d-world..or is that 1D, i don't know the differences ;D

Really, without FFVI there would be no FFVII, alot, and I mean ALOT of the music and story plots in VII are so blatantly derived from VI. I love both games, however I was born only a few years before the SNES release so I never got to play VI before the GBA remake. It was the most well spent 30$ of my life.

You know, Sephiroth seems to draw a lot of similarities from Norman Bates from Psycho. Think about it. He's obsessed with his mother, he axes the female protagonist no one expected to die, with a bladed weapon, in what is now a completely iconic scene, and the opening notes to One Winged Angel sound eerily similar to the Psycho theme.

Golbez is my favorite, but I admit that that's probably just nostalgia talking. Objectively speaking, Kefka's number one. Way ahead of Sephiroth.

If I was to say who the coolest villians were in terms of Flashy-ness It HAS to be Sephiroth vs Kefka aswell as Jecht If you wanna include him....

Sephiroth in the flashbacks makes sense, but then he forgets all about "Mother" and decides to drop a giant rock on the planet. Everything we learn about Kefka at least adds up. He makes sense, Sephy doesn't.

Of, course, that being said, he does look damn cool in those FMVs, and I still think he's a fine villain, legions ahead of Ultimecia, Kuja, Seymour and the like.

A lot of the times, the new translation is much more faithful than the old one. Look at FF IV DS: the four Archfiends got new renditions of their names that actually mean what they are supposed to.

If we were faithful to the first translation, Bartz from FF V would still be Buttz, and no one wants that.

Actually the original concept art called foor her hair to be blonde. Due to limitations with color pallates in the SNES, her hair had to be of a different color in her sprite. It is for this reason that kefka's battle sprite is purplish as well instead of green and colorful like his walking sprite. (I think)
