I am boarding the Silver Meteor in Jesup on the 30th of July--I'm riding to Palatka and back for only $45! What an affordable day-trip for an Amtrak fan.

That's cool. With the recently new schedule of the Silver Star we can now take day trips from Tampa FL to Winter Haven FL and back. Last year we had to stay overnight and return the next day

a beautiful litte town but the station is so messed up.

alot of amtrak stations needs to be fixed up because alot of them looks nasty and messed up...

I know what you mean. I wish they would also fix the Sanford FL station closed since 2004hurricane damage

I really wish they would fix that station. The fire was in 2003. I seriously can't understand how this much time can go by and nobody even touches it.
