i did not know they sleeved these engines. i have a model A and a model T car and they dont have sleeves.

@Bottleshooter8 i never had an old ford tractor before so i did not know . are they wet sleeves or are they like an I/C briggs and scrap iron.

hard to say possibly overheated with the bad head gasket and sized the piston causing the shattered piston and sleeve, just a guess though

It probably was. The auction people said they could get it to start, but it wouldn't stay running. I'm surprised it could run with that piston in it.
so how much longer before the start up video? im dying here! :P
DON'T DIE ON ME!!!! Probably 3 or 4 months.
i didnt think you had to do any machine work since it was a sleeve engine. just fire in some sleeve and bearings and away you go. well maybe you have to grind the valves and such.
Nice, me and my cousin took apart a Case IH 7250, overhauling the engine.
