The man's point was valid. Studying obsolete languages is a luxury that people who need to raise their educational level, skill set, and employability probably don't have time for. It has some utility when there is a body of literature written in that language, or if it is of use in archaeology, but as a cultural mandate it's a waste of time.

Since u hinted towards the langs spoken in its original places, don't forget English comes from England as mentioned in the video, & not native 2 the Americas. For LA, it's not English nor Spanish - another European lang. Had most Americans been open minded about learning other langs., that would be a diff. story.

Yes, Europeans are the more intelligent ones. Unfortunately not the same for Americans. But the only reason why you never knew of other people as you mentioned, not the whining part, is b/c you never cared. Even if you did, the imperialistic attitude has been ingrained at an early stage, which is why most Americans can only speak 1 language. If the average could speak at least half of what I can, then they'd definitely have a diff. perspective on things.

It's a fact, not racist. Europeans are more versatile, they are easily inclined to learn multiple langs. @ a young age, & their education system seems to be pretty advanced compared to that of the US. Statistically, Europeans excel more in higher education compared to the US.

I cannot disagree w/ that, America DOES allow too much migration & I've seen the results of how many benefit fr various types of govt. assistance while other Americans cannot benefit. I wasn't aware of Mexicans (at least in large masses) to FL, only was aware of the Cuban population which seems more likely given the geographical location, while CA & other SW states recv Mexicans b/c of its geographical location.

I believe it, I moved into an apartment complex i had lived in before, bout 8 yrs ago and its turned to shit. Also, it is wrong on many levels to move to a new land, or even a new neighborhood, and disrespect the culture of the locals. In some places in the world, that will get you killed. In the "evil" US, most just shake their head and let it slide. That's how it is here in Broward, for sure.

The man's point was valid. Studying obsolete languages is a luxury that people who need to raise their educational level, skill set, and employability probably don't have time for. It has some utility when there is a body of literature written in that language, or if it is of use in archaeology, but as a cultural mandate it's a waste of time.
