You know my cousins told me about this and its multiple endings and all that. And then they told me about speluky which is influenced by cavestory, indiana jones, and some other stuff. But Spelunky to cave story is like mario to zelda. One you can save and has a bit more of a story line, the other is no saving, but still awesome and really hard.

You probably heard things wrong. Spelunky is compared to La-Mulana (which itself is influenced by Indy), not Cave Story. They,re both well known freewares, so you could confused them if you don't know much about them.

The idea you're alluding to, yeah, that's called 'constructive criticism'. The idea with that is that you actually have something to say that will help the person better themselves. The comment I saw on here where the person mentions the percussion is off is an example of that.
