I want to say this in the most polite way possible:

Please do NOT do this again. Since lizards don't have diaphragms, their ribs expand when their lungs take in air. Because of this, putting them on their backs forces the lizard's ribs down, thus putting pressure on the lungs and respiratory system. This makes it very difficult for them to inhale oxygen, and lying on their backs too long will lead to suffocation.

Some people have made the mistake of thinking their lizard likes this because they can appear calm and close their eyes.
