I think it's because when you have a favorite, you may get over it, but than something changes in your life and a new(or old for that matter) JM song surfaces for you and is your remedy for that period. Not to mention whatever becomes your fave matches your situation at the time to the T. At least that's how it goes for me hah. One song will be be my favorite than a change will happen in my life and I find another favorite. Kinda like "got a problem, there's a JM song for that."
