  • how much would this cost

  • @30kb112 You actually can make something like this home.

you use the standard DVD burners you can buy everywhere.

The printing can be done on a special printer. Canon Pixma ip4600.

But you need to buy special discs that are white. like in the video.

Verbatim and TDK make them. just look for the word "printable" on the label.

  • This video is misleading.

It implies CD-R burning is the standard mass production method, instead of pressing.

  • i want one of those machines so when i record sound and dat i can burn alot of cds unattended

  • this is cool, when i get a band goin id like to get this done on my own.

  • Thank you for explaining DVD Duplication process in detail. Prior watching this DVD duplication video, I was thinking it's an easier to duplicate.........this video made me realize why it's better to let professional's handle DVD duplication.

  • Can this machine burn original video games copies?

  • how much will u cahrge me to make me 500 cds just saying the name of my cd and group name in standard black writting

  • Record in Pioneer DVR? lol

  • 5 colour printing? What's the other colour? (i thought they used cmyk)

  • Standard discs are not white; therefore any white areas need to be printed white. A knockout can also be used which is an area where no ink is applied; this lets the shiny area of the disc show through. The 5 inks used are Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black and White.

  • Oh, okay cool, thanks man.

  • this is how us dj's make mix cd's

  • Nonsense, large record labels do not duplicate CDs by burning CD-Rs, they press them.

CD burning etches pits and lands on a special dye coating with a laser. CD pressing first etches a master disc then physically presses this information into the plastic discs by injection moulding, kind of like high-tech jello moulding.

  • but this is not the professional process right? i mean, an original disc of Nirvana, eg, is not copied this way right?

  • yes it is, the industry divides into 2 groups medium and high end medium is mostly in home or small private business that uses medium range product mostly manual duplicators for small companies, Schools, colleges, and other, the high end is automatic loading burning machines mostly in private building copying and labeling cds in 1000's for higher range of distribution in that case youre Nirvana.

  • ty for ur answer man =)

  • wow, i learn something everyday.
